Surprisingly Smooth and Rich Coffee That Punches Above Its Price Point
I was genuinely surprised by how good this Amazon Basics Colombian ground coffee turned out to be. It brews up smooth with a slightly rich, bitter finish that gives it a nice depth, especially considering the price. I’m using a cheap $20 Mr. Coffee drip machine, and it still comes out grea, so I can only imagine how much better it would taste on a higher-end setup. The aroma is fantastic, both from the bag and in the cup, with a darker, full-bodied scent that really hits when you bring it to your lips. I've tried a lot of budget coffees, and this one easily stands out as one of the best values. Definitely something I’ll keep buying, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for solid coffee without breaking the bank.

Love the favor of my reg coffee mixed with this
This is such a great favor that blends with my reg coffee and enhances the flavor to perfect cup of coffee. . Just add half a LB to 33 ozz can if your reg coffee. And you won't be disappointed. The price is great and by itself is a teat also for mild just add about two tableapoons to 4 cups of warer. It isnot as tasty strong. . Have been buying this coffee for yrs and love it.

Great‑price daily brew that punches above its budget beansPicked up this 2‑lb bag of Amazon Fresh Colombia to replace the pricier boutique roasts draining my grocery budget. I brew a full pot every morning in a drip machine and occasionally run a pour‑over on weekends.### What hits the spot* **Smooth, medium‑bodied cup.** Notes of mild cocoa and a little dried‑berry sweetness—no burnt aftertaste.* **Consistent grind size.** Works straight out of the bag in a standard paper filter; no sludge in the carafe.* **Wallet‑friendly.** Runs roughly half the cost per ounce of my local roaster’s Colombian beans.* **Rainforest Alliance certified.** Nice to see an eco label on a store‑brand option.### Where it falls short* **Non‑resealable packaging.** Once you cut it open it’s wide‑mouth to the world—transferred to an airtight canister to keep it fresh.* **Lighter than some “mediums.”** Dark‑roast fans may find it too gentle; I bump the scoop count by one for a stronger cup.* **Aromatics fade after two weeks.** Flavor stays fine, but the just‑opened scent diminishes quickly without solid storage.### Real‑world impact* **Budget win.** Saved about \$12/month compared with my former brand while still enjoying a genuinely good cup.* **Office crowd pleaser.** Colleagues who normally drown coffee in creamer drink this one black.### Hacks & tweaks* **Vacuum canister or Mason jar** after opening = fresher aroma to the last scoop.* **French press brew** at a 1:14 ratio intensifies body for those who like more oomph.### Who it’s for* Daily coffee drinkers who want quality Arabica without boutique pricing.* Households that go through grounds quickly and appreciate the bigger 32‑oz bag.* Anyone easing into medium roasts from lighter breakfast blends.### VerdictKeep and reorder. The flavor‑to‑cost ratio makes this my new default pantry coffee. Just plan on transferring it to a sealed container and upping the dose if you favor a bolder brew.

Surprisingly good
I bought this because someone was threatening to throw tariffs onto Columbia and I thought, well, crap... should grab a big bag of cheap coffee before coffee costs $100/bag. We threw it in the cabinet and didn't really think about it again. The first time I drank it, it was decent. Absolutely no bitterness. At all. I almost missed a little bite. Went back to our old coffee ($20/lb from Whole Foods) and didn't really think about it again.So...When my husband made this for me last night I told him it was the best cup of coffee he'd ever made me. I DID NOT KNOW HE BREWED THE AMAZON COFFEE. I just thought he finally fixed my coffee the most perfect way. The next morning when I brewed the coffee, I was surprised to find that we only had this coffee in the house. And he told me my "most perfect cup" was indeed the Amazon coffee. Maybe it was the blind taste test, maybe it was thinking it was the far more expensive coffee—confirmation bias is powerful. But I have to say I look forward to this coffee every morning and every night. It doesn't give me caffeine jitters. It doesn't give me acid reflux. It's nice and smooth. It doesn't take much sweetener at all so be careful with your sweetener of choice. And... it's a good price. A rarity these days.

Tastes good, no bitterness!
After years of drinking coffee made with the Keurig, I decided to go back to good old fashioned drip coffee. I found that the coffee pods with Keurig just were not strong enough for me.I enjoy hazelnut coffee and I'm trying to cut down on the amount of flavored creamer due to the calories. This coffee has a very mild hazelnut flavor so I can reduce the creamer. But, even better is that I can make it stronger without bitterness or acidity. It also smells good when brewingI like this coffee and will order again in the future.

Eh flavor
Not my favorite flavor. Makes the coffee sweet without having to add sweetener. Not as strong as it could be.
