Very satisfied with two PC's, including one dock station, and two monitors
I was a little skeptical that everything would work as planned with this KVM switch, so here is as thorough of a review as I can provide. While this product supports three monitors, my setup uses only two monitors. What I liked about this product is the flexibility to use a combination of HMDI and DisplayPort.PC1 - desktop/tower computer:Trusty i7-4790 Haswell Quad-Core CPU (yes, I know the sunset is nigh)Gigabyte motherboardDiscrete video PCIe 3.0 XFX AMD Radeon R7 250X, dual link support 1 x HDMI 1.4a, 1 x DP 1.2Windows 10Desktop computer connected to KVM switch via one HDMI cable, one DP cable, and one USB-A cable.PC2 - two different laptops (one at a time):Each laptop has USB-C port supporting dual display (display port 1.2 alt mode). Both are connected to the KVM switch via Targus USB-C Universal Docking Station with 100W Power Delivery (dock station supports two displays via combination of HDMI and/or DP).Lenovo IdeaPad 3, Windows 11 (personal laptop)Lenovo ThinkPad, Windows 11 (work laptop)Laptops are connected to dock station via USB-C cable (USB-C to USB-C).Dock station is connected to KVM switch via one HDMI cable, one DP cable, and one USB-A cable. Two Monitors (slightly older Acer models):One with HDMI connection onlyOne with HDMI and DP connectionMonitors are connected to the KVM switch via one HDMI cable and one DP cable.USB-A receiver inserted in the KVM switch for wireless keyboard and mouse.Desktop computer: connected all cables (PC to KVM switch to monitors), booted the computer, and both monitors fired right up with no drivers. I utilized the Windows+P keyboard keys to set extended display. Went to display settings to configure monitor 1 and 2 as necessary.Lenovo IdeaPad 3 personal laptop. Same actions and results as my desktop computer. No problems.Lenovo ThinkPad work laptop. With IT’s support/permission, I did have to install the Targus Dual Link driver for the dock station. My keyboard and mouse worked, but no display until the driver was installed (possibly due to work security). Once the driver was installed, same actions and results as discussed above. No problems. For what it is worth, using the Targus dock station and this KVM switch, and as my laptops support, I can use the laptop screen as a third displayQuality of cables does matter. The cables provided with the KVM switch work no problem. However, one of my older, less quality HDMI cables did not work (had to replace it).So, the next test. When I first tested my setup. I did so with one PC turned on at a time. How does it work switching back and forth between two active PC’s? Testing this with my desktop and personal laptop, I had no issues. In my experience, it takes less than three seconds to successfully switch PC’s. This assumes one of the PC’s is not “asleep.” Further, if my laptop is asleep, I can successfully wake the laptop with no restarting/turning-on-off/rebooting required.Apparently, this KVM switch supports EDID (read what you want about it). In my experience, here is what I can add. Switching between active PC’s did not change/scramble my desktop icons. For each PC, I had three applications open: a Word doc, internet browser, and file explorer. As for my desktop, no matter how I had the open applications arranged on the screens, when I switched back to the desktop, all open applications would revert to “monitor 1.” As for my laptop, everything remained exactly the same.As I mentioned, my two monitors are slightly older. I am not certain if either even support 4K, so I really cannot comment on any high-end picture quality degradation. However, as far as I am concerned, I have no complaints regarding the picture quality. I’ve been using these two monitors with my desktop for quite a while, and I notice no difference. One last thing, I was also able to share a small desktop scanner connected to this switch.Well, for my intended purpose, I am very satisfied. Provided exactly what I wanted. Two PC’s easily sharing two monitors and a single wireless keyboard/mouse. Again, I liked the option to use a combination of HMDI and DP. I have been using this setup for only a couple days, so longevity and any other quirks are yet to be discovered.

Came used and not working
When I received the item it had been obviously used and sent as a new object at $117+ dollars! Then I looked at it and it is not new to look at even, some of the cords were not even wound up, the entire thing was disheveled in the box. The remote is half in the bag and half out, retaped box, with some dents and scrapes. Then went to plug it into everything and it did not work, checked all the connections, all in place as required going the correct directions, one out of three monitors would work for both, the Display Ports were not functioning whatsoever. Very disappointed and had to return. Then get an email that if it is not in new condition I won't get back all my money, it was as is, it has had a plug in to all the needed places and unplug and returned, I best get back all my money, returned next day from arriving. Terrible product!

Works great. Mac users be aware, you can't use a usb-a to usb-c cable directly!
This is a great little switch that works great. I did have one issue, though. I couldn't for the life of me get the USB to work on a mac. It worked great on my linux desktop, but my M2 mac just wouldn't see that anything was connected.I actually got to the point of purchasing another usb switch because I figured that the usb on this was faulty or maybe just didn't work for the mac. I got the new usb switch and tried it out and.... the usb devices weren't recognized on my mac either. After a great deal of trial and error and switching of cables and locations and anything else I could think to try, I read this on the amazon page for the USB switch: "If you want to connect this switch with a Mac or other host devices that only have usb c port, you need to use a USB C to A adapter with a USB A to A cable. It won't work when using a USB C to A cable directly."On the new USB switch I tried plugging in a usb-a to usb-a cable into a usb-a to usb-c adapter and it worked. Then I got the bright idea to try the same thing for this kvm switch and it worked. Yay!So if you're on a mac that only has usb-c ports, plug in a usb-a to usb-a cable then plug in that cable to a usb-a female to usb-c male adapter and it should work.

Works, but glitched a couple of times.
Works as advertised... most of the time. I've owned it for a short time, and I've already had a couple of instances where either the USB ports didn't work for one computer (but did for the other) or where one of my dual monitors didn't display for one of the computers but did for the other. I checked cables and couldn't find an issue, but powering down the switch and then back on resolved the issue for me. Seems a little wacky.... But other than a couple instances of WTH, it's doing the job as intended.

4k support is broken
This KVM could not handle 4k 60hz over displayport without the display disconnecting every minute or so. 4k 144hz was even more unusable. The boot menu on my computer was disconnected from the display more often than it was connected. All issues disappeared when the KVM was removed. Swapping cables did not help. I highly doubt this works for 8k 60hz.I initially got this to use with a 1080p and 1600x900 hdmi monitor while leaving room for an upgrade. It worked for this with the exception of the keyboard occasionally needing to be replugged. When I upgraded one monitor to 4k it stopped working

Works perfect
Had this KVM switch for about 6months. Works perfectly still, no issues. 4K & 8K only works at certain refresh rates, pay attention to that if it's an issue. Works great for my needs
