Instead of the included adhesive hooks, I anchored the shelf to the wall. It was easy to put together—the instructions are clear and there’s only one size of screws. The wood is unfinished but smooth. I love that there are cutouts at the bottom to accommodate trim.

I have a little bit of a love/hate relationship with this shelf. I really love the way it looks. I love the real, unfinished wood, the slimness of it, the small footprint. However, frankly, it sucks as a bookshelf. I bought it to use for books, and it says "the shelf has 6 layers, each layer is different in height, tested up to about 100 books can be placed." HA! I don't know what kind of books they have, but I don't see how 100 books could fit on here. Maybe it would work well for small toddler board books, but I still don't see 100 fitting on here. Normal sized books only fit on the bottom two shelves and the very top shelf. It's very difficult to fit books in the middle shelves. To be fair, they do provide the dimensions for each shelf in the listing, but I didn't measure everything and just trusted the fact that they call this a "bookshelf" and said it holds 100 books.Also, it needs some more support. There is no backing to this shelf, and it hangs on the wall from 2 screws on the top. It comes with no punch screws that stick to the wall, but I just used normal screws since I have wood walls. I found that the books would slip down the back of the shelf and the shelf could easily move away from the wall at the bottom, so I had to macgyver some anchors to connect the shelf to the wall on the bottom as well, and that helped a lot.I know this is a lot of complaining, and I really probably should give it 3 stars based on the amount of complaining I'm doing. BUT I still just really love the way it looks. It makes me happy when I see the pretty wood. If you like the look, aren't looking for perfection, and don't mind a little bit of DIY, you might like it too.

Cons:1. Very poor instructions and no customer support: I couldn't figure them out. The instructions request that if you have trouble to contact the manufacturer (instead of returning the item) at the website provided, which I did, but the manufactured never responded. A friend finally figured them out and assembled it.2. Thin, lightweight wood: I don't know what kind of wood the shelf is made of but it's not solid. each piece is slightly less than 1/2 inch thick. Not sure how it will hold-up over time.3. Shelves: Make sure you can fit whatever you envision putting on this shelf. It is limited in how much it can accommodate (I got the 30" wide shelf). The bottom shelf can fit books no taller than 12", the next 2 shelves can fit books no taller than 9", the 4th shelf fits items only 7" tall. The top shelf is open, so it can accommodate taller items. I have magazines on the top.4. Faulty Design: The kit includes self-adhesive patches with a fixed screw head embedded in them. The idea is that you can attach the clear patches to the wall without having to drive screw into your wall. I was skeptical that the patches could support the shelving unit but I tried anyway. I waited the 24 hour period recommended after adhering the patches to the wall. Within seconds of attaching the shelving unit, the patches came loose, ripping the paint off the wall. I am going to have to secure the unit to the wall with L-brackets. Nothing I hate more than having to fix something before I even use it - especially something that costs $100. By the time I got though all these obstacles, the return window had closed. Since it's a poorly designed, faulty product, I chatted with Amazon anyway to see if they would make an exception. They wouldn't - they said their system won't let them issue a refund once the return window is closed.Why did I purchase this item? Because it's the only product of its kind. I wanted it for my cookbooks so that I can display them in my kitchen face forward because the covers are colorful and attractive. The only other products out there that you can display books by their covers are for schools and children and are too low or too expensive.Am I sorry I purchased it? Yes and no. I think for all the hassles it presents, it's too expensive. I think the maximum value for this product is $60. Once I install the brackets and am able to use it as intended, I think I will be happy with it the farther I get away from my frustration. Overall, I feel that the faults with this product spoiled the good feeling I had envisioning using it. I keep vowing not to purchase items from China. They stop working within 2 - 3 months (YI Smart Dome Security Camera, Cordless Electric Spin Mop, Jensen CD590 Portable Bluetooth CD Cassette, etc., when the rechargeable battery dies, the item breaks and the materials and workmanship is cheap and careless. I think I may finally stop purchasing anything from China. It always leads to disappointment and buyers remorse.The photo above shows what it looks like against the wall. I haven't secured it yet. The shelves appear in the photo more spacious than they really are. I don't have any cookbooks that are small enough to fit on the 7" shelf second from the top.

We purchased 3 of these for our schools take home reading library, they have been up for almost 2 months now and going strong. They are sturdy and hold up well. We do not have very heavy books on them so I cannot attest to how they will withstand heavier books. But for regular ol kids books they are amazing and look very nice

It was difficult to assemble and does not support the books well. I do like that it is designed to fit over the base boards.

This shelf came and was exactly what I thought it would be. Yes, it’s thin wood, but if you read the description they never claim otherwise. It was very easy and quick to put together and took me about 10-15 minutes. I’m using this as a bookshelf for my kids playroom, so I opted to not use the sticker wall mounts and used screws instead, but I liked that they included the sticker kind. I really didn’t want a white plywood shelf, so I was happy to find this one for a good price. Overall, I would buy it again.

This was easy to assemble, looks nice, and has lots of space. My only issue is that the shelves aren’t very thick and feel easily breakable.

Comprata per la camera delle mie figlie. Molto utile perché poco profonda e sta perfettamente dietro la porta. Ci stanno comunque tanti libri avendo scaffali di varie altezze. Semplice da montare. Legno grezzo non trattato. Molto semplice e di qualità adeguata al prezzo che ha.

J'ai acheté cette bibliothèque pour mes enfants le concept est super.Néanmoins la notice est assez simpliste sans véritable consignes,mais une fois qu'on a capté c'est bon.Il est indiqué que l'on peut demander plus de détail par email au fabricant, ceci peut être évité en détaillant la notice. On y gagnerait en temps !Le montage est très rapide.Le bois serait mieux si traité et teint, j'ai passé beaucoup de temps à nourrir le bois.. avant de le fixer.Il faut attendre 14h avant de poser la bibliothèque sur les fixations.
