Was the set G1? Nope. Is the set flipping awesome? Yep.I also received the extra "Buzzsaw."

This was a good buy. Even though it's the off brand of the Soundwave, I think we all know who he is. The only issue I had was his gun and how it converted. I couldn't retract the handle all the way without pulling it apart-and Megatron in gun mode-I couldnt get soundwave to hold him with the steady rod attached to the handle. Lastly there was a silver box piece that I have no idea where it goes. Looked back and forth on the directions and couldn't find where it went. None the less it's a great collectors piece. That's why I bought two. One in the box the other displayed.

I love this set. It obviously comes with Soundwave and 6 cassettes who all transform. The set actually came with an extra Laser beak already in Soundwave’s chest piece. Speaking of, his chassis can hold up to 3 cassettes at the same time! (Though they eject crudely) The joints on everyone are a little stiff and had a few issues fully moving/staying put but not bad. Overall, they are pretty well made and durable but not in the hands of children lol

My son loves this transformer. It was his favorite Christmas present.

Cassette player was good quality, but tape corps not so much. I would recommend purchasing if needed fora collection but not as a kids toy or gift.

I really like it. But the only thing I dislike is two of the figure back pieces that replace the arms don’t separate like the pic.
