It's a decent clamp, if you can figure out an application.
I have a shotgun I wanted to mount a flashlight onto; when I saw this, I thought to try it. When it came in, I inspected it and the quality was good, but it seemed rather large for what I wanted. I tried to mount it on a 12GA shotgun, and the clamp was too large for the barrel. This surprised me. Of course, I could always shim it to fit, but then you have the problem of your shim melting if the barrel gets hot. This is undesirable.I tried mounting it on the magazine tube. It fit the tube, but then I noticed, as I suspected, that the flashlight was too far from the centerline of the barrel. While this doesn't matter for illumination, it does matter in handling. You want the "on" button to be in easy reach of the non-firing hand. As wide as this is, trying to switch your flashlight on is difficult, at best. You don't want that.While this would be a good mount for something, it doesn't work for my application, and I'm not sure where it would be.

Works with 18650 size flashlights perfectly
I use this on both my one inch and 30mm tubes for lamping. I did add a bit of self-adhesive foam to the insides of the clamps, but they held fine beforehand as well. The knob is big enough to get a good grip and tighten it up properly. It's quality is actually better than the one that came with my lamp kit and feels like it should last quite a long time.

Super easy to use
Fit was acceptable and easy to interchange with a flashlight having two diameters of similar size to the attachment stock.

Does it hold, yes...I just have a cane that doesn't suit it.
I like using these to affix a flashlight to my cane. I have an older cane that's a 1" diameter, but my main is a 3/4" one, and this is just a bit too large to hold on it. However, for the 1" cane, it's perfect and clamps on to both flashlight and cane together.

works great
this works exactly as desccribed wont know how well it handles until i take it to the range though. but based on how this clamps together i would assume it will hold up quite nicely.
