Dried bitter leaves has sooooooo much sand in it (first experience was with my brothers purchase in 2016, fast forward to 2017, the sand content was still way too much). All products of Nina that I purchased (ground ogbono, dried bitter leaves and crayfish pack) were awful, I don't think the food packaged is meant for human consumption (that's how awful it was). I threw all the items in the trash bag. I hope Nina infuse health and safety standards into their food products.

Authentic leaves filled with sand.
The actual product itself appears authentic.Real bitter leaves. Extremely bitter.However it is filled with sand!The sand is not obvious until you are rinsing.The pictures below shows the sand left after the 3rd rinsing of the leaves.

The leaves were not bitter at all.

Not good for human consumption
Please don't buy. I bought this from an African Store in Alexandria and tried to cook today but had to throw everything out. Not safe for human consumption. Loads and loads of sand and no matter how long you boil it, it remains strong as stone. I only selected a star because I had to do so for the review to go through
