Q: Is this a wireless ac device or wireless N. The listing says 300 speed, it ac is usually much better. Thank you.

It has 2 radios inside to support both ac (5ghz) and n (2.4ghz).

Q: These don't come with a power adapter (power over ethernet only). Is there a recommended adapter for these units?

Cisco do a power adapter for them, SB-PWR-12V2A-UK, however they will work with any standard 12v 2A power adapter, with the correct connector, you should make sure that if you intend to mount the AP the power connector should be a rightangle connector as the cisco recommended PSU has, otherwise the cable will obstruct the mounting bracket when fitted. I have 2 of these Cisco APs and run both off standard 12v 2A wall wort adapters.

this unit is more powerful than the routers on board wifi so gives good coverage

bad value for money

I am disappointed by Amazon who sold me this product only just 5 months ago for £68 more.it also doesn't seem to work for us properly. The 5G network is unstable and only provides Wifi at a short distance.
