This whip is just the right size. I purchased it just to learn how to snap. It's very simple to do with this whip.

During one of my group Parent/student meetings, one of the kids went off topic (as is usual, they are 6 and 7 after all) and started talking about Indiana Jones and his whip. The other kids speculated on how easy it would be to use a whip as he does right after picking it up for the first time. I have a rule in my class. If you have a theory, and it's possible, let's test it out. So, with the parent's permission, I bought the whip and brought it with me to our next group meeting (we meet once a month to discuss issues, lesson plans, etc.) After our usual discussion, the parents signed permission slips and the kids took turns trying to get the whip to "pop" as the kids called it. There were some minor injuries, but nothing life threatening. Mostly the kids misjudged how easy it was and ended up snapping themselves on the arms or the legs. The adults didn't fare any better, and now it remains a part of our class as a reward break when they do well in their lessons. I'm a little embarrassed to say that the kids are getting better at using this thing than I am and I practice with it a lot in my spare time.

I like the whip. Fun to use, sturdy and good price.

This product was more like a novelty item! It does seem very durable. The performance could be better, but for the money it's not to bad.
