My 9-year-old absolutely loves it. The build was challenging enough to be engaging but not frustrating, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. The finished model looks fantastic – it's a really accurate representation of the real McLaren F1 car, with some great details. It's sturdy enough for play, too, which is important. He's spent hours racing it around and displaying it proudly. This LEGO set is a great combination of fun building and a cool final product, perfect for any young racing fan. Highly recommended!

Bought as Christmas present. Build was easy for grandchildren ,accurate model that looks superb.

I bought this for my Granddaughter aged 13 ... she has recently got into watching Formula 1 racing and is also actively taking and interest in engineering etc so this Lego set has ticked all the boxes for her. It comes with full instructions and as always the quality of the Lego pieces are perfect. A great gift for young or old I'd say.

The build itself was good but requires concentration. There are many little fiddly bits but nothing that a little bit of patience won't solve. As for the final product it looks great but does have 3 small issues. Firstly, where the halo is meant to meet the strut it comes up short as you can see in the second photo. No biggy, just a little annoying. The other two issues make me feel this is more designed as a model than a toy for kids which is fine. The front nose is not sturdy. The way it connects to the chassis is by looping onto the front axle which means it feels loose and rattles around a bit. I feel it could easily break off. The third issue is the rear axle which like the nose feels loose and rattles around. I feel with a little more thought things could have been made a little stronger. So if you're buying this for a young fan just keep that in mind. However, most of you, like me, are probably buying for display so the latter two issues won't really matter. Lastly, just to mention, there are a lot of stickers and not many printed blocks but I guess that's what we have to deal with in all the Speed Champions sets now.Overall, it's for sure worth the buy if you're considering it. You probably won't notice the small issues when it's sat on your shelf/desk. Just don't shake it.

McLaren won the constructors Championship with a tremendous effort and a great car. This Lego model epitomises it all!

What's not to love for a Lego and and F1 fan?! Brilliant detail, great price and a couple of hours of fun, brilliant for any age F1 fan.
