Smell very strongly, but they taste nice
When you order these snacks you get a full box, with 10 individual packets inside. I opened a bag and the first thing I noticed was that they smell very strongly, it isn't an unpleasant smell, it's just very strong and sweet.Thankfully they were also smaller than I'd pictured, which was a big relief as I was concerned that they were going to be golf ball sized snacks in each bag, where instead there are a much more pleasant marble sized snack.Texture wise they are quite firm and chewy, and taste wise they have a strong salted caramel flavour. There is just short of a year left till the best before date, so they seem to last a long time too.Overall I'm happy to reccomend them as they taste nice, and are very conveniently packaged.

Snacks
I wasn't too keen on these, but son who loves his protein snacks thought they were lovely and finished them off in no time at all. They're slightly on the pricey side, but they'd make a great gift for health conscious golf fans.

didnt like them
These ST. ANDREWS BAKERY Protein Snack Golf Balls sound like a interesting concept - a healthy, protein-rich snack that's gluten-free and high in fibre. However, my experience fell short in a couple of ways. Here's what I found:Positives:Healthy Ingredients: The idea of a protein-rich, gluten-free snack with added vitamins and fibre is appealing for health-conscious consumers.Negatives:Unpleasant Taste: A very powdery texture and a strong chemical taste are significant drawbacks. These make the product quite unpleasant to eat.Misleading Name? "Salted Caramel" suggests a flavour profile that might not be present.Overall:The concept behind these protein snack golf balls is good, but the execution needs work. The taste and texture are currently quite off-putting. If the manufacturer can improve the flavour and eliminate the powdery texture, they could have a winning product. Until then, there are better-tasting protein snack options out there.

Tasty but too much carb/sugar content
You get a box with ten packets of salted caramel flavoured balls. There are six balls in each packet. The balls are tasty. They taste similar to other salted caramel date bars I have tried. If I didn't know it was salted caramel flavour, I might not be able to guess because they are quite fruity, but the flavour is not unpleasant. My only complaint about these protein balls is the high carbohydrate and sugar content. I would suggest most people looking for a protein based snack are probably wanting to reduce their sugar/carb intake. This snack is not the right choice for those people. It contains twice as much sugar per 100g as some other protein bars I've tried. This is because the 3 of the top 4 ingredients are carb based - dates, rice starch and grape juice.I think it's a bit disengenous to market these as protein snacks when they are so carb based. In addition the claim of "no added sugar" is a semantic trick because, while adding grape juice might not be processed cane sugar, it is the equivalent of adding a type of sugar.

Hmm, not for me
I gave these a go as I love anything that's got salted caramel flavour and these sounded quite nice with the various fruit and nut ingredients. Each packet has 6 balls inside and I have to be honest they don't look that appetising and when I tried them I didn't expect the strange soggy like texture resembling something you'd find at the back of a cupboard that you forgot about.Maybe I'm just being a bit unfair as snacks can be a very personal taste but my wife wasn't that enamoured either and she usually loves this sort of snack, she was even put of by the smell of them.As I now have a box of these I'll be trying to palm them off on elderly relatives when they visit to see if their taste buds aren't as fussy as ours.

Very tasty!
really like these - they are a nice healthy snack to take when travelling. Nice and filling, a good dose of protein and love the nutty flavour. They are ideal for anyone with dairy or wheat intolerances as they are very clean and contain very few ingredients. They are also vegetarian and suitable for a paleo diet.Love the taste and the fact it has added protein! Just a bit pricey. My 5 year olds absolutely loves these - healthy snack for us all - winner ππ»
