I had a kreg before this one and with it 90% plastic I ended up drilling into it very easily until it broke. This one is fully metal heavy duty and alot more sturdy. Work just the same as the kreg but only 1/4 of the price very good product.

The jig itself was nice but couldn't figure out why I kept getting metal shavings while trying to drill with the bit that came with it it's garbage switched to my regular bit and worked great.

Trying to drill through soft wood. Drill bit would not cut through hot butter. Spend a little extra and get a Craig jig.

Everything in the box is aimed at making accurate pocket holes easier. My package didn't include instructions but I imagine that is not the norm. The setup is a breeze and I was making test hole in a few minutes. The kit includes one metal jig that can be used vertically and horizontally. The challenge is always how deep to drill and what size screws. Both vertical and horizontal setups have good measurement markings.The plunger that holds the work piece in place is pretty neat. The length is easy to adjust to different size woods. Just rotate the shaft and push the clamp handle down. While you are working with this tool remember to note the markings so you can easily replicate the work position, Except for the firm rubber cup, it's all metal. That helps everything stay in place. That's good because a little wiggle in your jig will give poor results.The kit includes two good quality drill bits and adjustable stop sleeves for them. It also includes long drive bits for Phillips and square pocket screws. Both bits fit and drove the screws well. Finally, to get you started they include pocket screws and pre-cut dowels to fill the holes you make..This is a good tool and will serve us well. It's not super fancy the metal sleeves on the jig will give a long life and good cuts. For the price it's a good choice.

Can't drill through a 2x4 (1.5" stock), even though the markings show it goes up to 1.5". No instructions were included. I really wanted to like this, but got frustrated with the first try using it. It seems the adjustment screw doesn't want to screw all the way to allow 1.5" material to clamp. But I have no way of knowing if the product is defective or if I am not using it right. Still disappointed.
