Great Welding Machine
I’ve wondered a small welder for a while to use in my gunsmithing business, but never found the right one either they were too big or too overpriced. I checked out Harbor freight nothing seemed to click. I sold this one advertised the price was right so I figured I’d give it a go set up was easy. The machine works flawlessly. If you use it as directed you’ll be very happy with it. The quality is great for the money it functions well. The only thing is I wish it came with a Tig gun, it has TIG capability, stick capability, and Mig. It comes with a stick cable,Mig gun and ground cable. It also has a really nice chip hammer and quality wire brush.

Great welder plenty of power
To start I'm new to welding , have little to no experience, so I wanted something affordable and easy to use , this welder performed great for me I've welded truck frame , pull behind trailer frame, radatior and had no problems, if I knew how to weld and could adjust it right my welds probably wouldn't be that bad ,( again I have no welding experience) this welder set to the highest setting I found out is like a torch it will cut through metal easy, after using it for a while I've found out how to set it better , this thing is very portable and using a stander 110 plug and provides a lot of power , the cord and handle seems to work great however id recommend a good industrial extension cord if you need longer reach from unit to plug end , I've also have been able to run this off a generator but at very high setting on a very small genorator you won't get The maximum output but it will still put out enough power for sheet metal or pipingUpdated: 4-21-25I recently back my truck over top of unit, thought I had broke it but to my surprise this thing is still running like a champ, even being ran over , so the durability of this welder has amazed me also I will add photos of welder after the accident, if the seller could reach out to me I'd be greatful and have some questions, but if your looking for something that works great and can handle a beating and keep operating as it should for the price you can't go wrong ,

Great little welder!
The welder came in three days! I got home from work and unboxed it and it is a very compact unit. It was packaged very nice. It was very easy to set up. I tried it out on some 1/8" flat stock, mild steel and laid a couple of nice beads with very good penetration set at 87 amps. The welder should be able to handle 1/4" mild steel with no problems in my opinion. It fed the wire through nice and smooth. I also welded a couple of steel legs on a table with really nice results. It does not come with flux core wire but I purchased a 2lb roll of 0.030" wire {Arccaptain, good wire at a great price!} that arrived at the same time. It comes with a good chipping hammer and a separate wire brush that was actually better quality than I expected, unlike the competitors chipping hammer and wire brush combo! I have been welding for years with all different types of welders from many different manufacturers and I'm impressed! The welder also has a small LED light bar above the control panel that lights up the panel knobs and buttons for low light situations. I would recommend the Hone welder to others. There's only two small dings I would give it: that it does not have a reference table for presets and its 110VAC only which I knew at the time of purchase. I will update in the future for durability, Thank you!

Great welder to learn
Great welder to learn on. Great quality, easy to use, did shut off and not turn on after a few weeks of use. For the money it’s great. Light weight.

Love this machine works so great. Very lightweight. Take it anywhere on the roof garage very easy to move around better than the heaviest one that I have no problem using it.

Versatility is No. 1 for this machine. Stick, flux-core, and TIG (TIG torch not included)
First impression of this welder was good. I have several welders to keep around the property. First photo show the comparison in size with the Titanium flux core welder from HF. It is definitely smaller. The fact that is supports a TIG torch sets this apart though ironically is doesn't come with one (For the price it isnt fair to expect it to). The tip with the shield is helpful for maintaining distance which makes is good for someone learning. The device supports 2 lb flux core wire. It does not have a manual feed button for the wire like the one from HF so be mindful of that when using it for flux core welding; you'll need to press the button on the gun to feed the wire.Pros:Versatility: Support for Stick and Flux core welding out of the box with TIG as a separate upgrade.Power consumption: Provides adequate power for good penetrationControls: You CAN weld thin material with this.Cons:Operation Time: Not for continuous use. Like many of the other 120V class welders these need a cool of time when used with thicker metals. Be mindful of that. If you intend to build anything large or with thicker steel you'll need a 240V machine; I'd say this is suitable for 1/32”-5/16” material as you simply wont get enough power out of a common 120V-20A outlet anyway.Spool components are made of plastic, be careful with them. I haven't had any issues, but just calling it out so you'll be extra mindful when handling the machine. The face plate LCD covering seems a bit bubbled (see photo no 4), this is strictly cosmetic.Photos above show welds made using flux core, minimal spatter. Also note that I already powder coated my project, but you can still see the welds pretty good to get an idea of what this machine can do.Final thoughts: Nice welder to have for smaller projects and as a little tip, if you want to work with aluminum either preheat the metal before attempting any welding or get a TIG torch for the machine (tip size will be 10-25); This welder provides both options. Overall a worthy purchase at a fair price point, even if you never buy the TIG torch.
