Great hake brushes for encaustics

I purchased these for an encaustics workshop and they worked perfectly. The packaging they arrived in was great and the shipping was super fast! The bristles are very soft and none came out during use. They are economically priced and I would not hesitate to buy from this company again. Very pleased!

When they arrived I thought the brushes were beautiful. After using, though, they all seem to lose bristles in the paint so I've had to basically stop using them.

These are great for encaustics.

These are very nice brushes after you work out all the loose hairs---and there are lots of them.

The brushes shed a lot. I used them for applying glazes to my pots. They shed a lot before use and also when brushing.

I gave this brush two stars because I like the size, but it sheds like crazy. The first time I used it the hairs of the brush came off all over my image. I ended up using a different brush and had to remove all the brush hairs that were all over imbedded in the wax. I have other hake brushes and they don't shed like that. It really makes this brush useless for me. I am not sure if I got a set of bad brushes or not, but this was my experience with this brush.
