Awesomely great ginger
I was skeptical after reading some of the reviews and then seeing the pic that showed sulphur as one of the ingredients. I took a picture of mine (4lb bag) and it states unsulphured. The taste is amazing (not chemical at all) and not too hot. It seems to be younger ginger based on the texture, which is very soft. Nice sized pieces, not too large or small.I would recommend this product 100%.

Delicious! Excellent quality.
Nice size nuggets. Tastes just like ginger. Just the right amount of sugar coating. Soft and easy to chew. Shared with family. Big thumbs up!

too sweet.
I usually order the sulphered ginger but thought I would try the unsulphered. I found the ginger too sweet as other reviewers stated. Would not order agian.

Tastes like chemicals probably contains sulphur
First few times I got it. It was pretty good. Bits were pretty big, but since I put them in the blender in my smoothie, it was okay usually. Some weird hard or extra chewy pieces sometimes , but most of it was just fine. I ordered this one in particular because it says unsluphered. I obviously don't have a chemistry set to test it. But I put it into my smoothie and all the same ingredients I always use. Literally nothing different than usual. Along with always using crystalized ginger. And this new batch literally tastes like it was soaked in chemicals. The last batches had a hard plastic bag with the Ziploc type top. These new ones were thick paper bags with the zip closure. The bags were then also wrapped up in plastic all the times I got it. The bags were not damaged or wet. And didn't look like they had been wet and dried out. They are made of paper, so that would definitely show if they had been soaked in anything.I don't know if I can get money back for it tasting like that. It's just gross. I'm assuming it is not unsluphered. It just tastes like chemicals. I'm also not trying to mail everything back because it's hard enough to actually go find my packages when they're delivered, let alone box them back up and get them back to Amazon. The shape of this latest one was different too. Smaller and softer bites. The last few were pretty large bits and a little harder and had a little more sugar on them. I thought I had found my new place to get this kind of ginger. But I guess not.

Extremely good
I have ordered these 3 times. I’ve never been disappointed and actually it has been the exact opposite, I can’t stop snacking on them. Really good and fresh

Mixed Bag, what is wrong??
First off, I don't like getting stuck with a subpar item that I can't return. Opened the ginger today, it arrived yesterday. The first piece was tough and fibrous and very difficult to chew. I was shocked as I have never had ginger like this before. But the second piece, was soft and good. Like they were two different brands. Both pieces were very hot and spicy, and truth be told I'd prefer a bit milder as both were off the charts firey. Not sure if I want to try another or not, this is not my first time with ginger chunks (I usually purchase from a health food store) and I am shocked and dismayed. In these times of rampant inflation, I am sure there are not many out there who want to throw their money away. However, reading all the reviews, it seems like every bag has some soft, some fibrous. On the plus side, one positive that I didn't mention is that this ginger is UNSULFURED, which is way healthier and a must for me whenever I purchase any dried fruit.
