Having had a garden water feature break over winter I looked for some way to use the mains powered pump that was wired in the garden this bowl with a selection of pebbles created an attractive feature, and the bowl is more than sturdy enough for the purpose. The drainage hole allowed access for the cable and were easily waterproofed with mastic.

Beautiful speckled gray wide bowl ideal for use with solar floating fountains.Other bowls I've used were not wide enough and the spray other get washed over the sides and thus emptying the bowl and damaging the water fountain (running dry) but this is massive and in the right setting looks very good.Only quibble are the 4 pre-drilled holes for plant drainage which need to be sealed up for a water feature which is a bit hit and miss but I managed it by using bicycle repair patches on the underside. I can only assume the this item was not made the usual indents that you'd punch out of drainage (if you wanted to) but were drilled thru' instead. In fairness it does state of description that draining holes are pre-drilled .It is matched here with a 3w/1200mAh fountain - removing the float ring from it allows it to stick rigid to the base.Overall, quality of the bowl is excellent and highly recommended.

The media could not be loaded. Love these wide shallow bowls which can be used for so many garden features. I have three which I have turned into a fairy garden, a succulents display and a water feature using a solar fountain. Highly recommended!

Bought this beautiful bowl to make an interesting feature on my patio. It arrived much quicker than expected and is sturdy but lightweight. Definitely recommend

This was sold as suitable for use as an ornamental pond / water feature and was purchased along with a solar fountain. When the bowl arrived it had 4 drainage holes in the bottom - useless therefore as a pond / water feature. Despite plugging the holes and sealing with waterproof sealant, one started to leak quite quickly. I'm sure there is probably a specialist sealant for the job but it's another expense you won't want. Should be mentioned in the description it has drainage holes in!!!

The media could not be loaded. Absolutely fantastic! Closed the draining holes with silicon for gutters and so far it looks great. The size is large, very good for making a medium sized water feature. Even from close enough it looks beautiful and unless you really go to close, it kind of looks ceramic. Had to wait a while in order to find it in stock, but it was worth temhe waiting. Much happier than spending 200 pounds on a ceramic one, this one not only does the job but it add an amazing feature to my under construction garden.

Bought as bird bath/fountain. Used screws in the holes to secure it then made water tight with sealant. Added solar jet for fountain and filled with rocks. Works well, birds already used it on day one.It is light for the size. The hollow lip is a bit odd and might be annoying as a planter.

Looks good, works well, use as a bird bath, it has weathered very well.
