The quality of this fireplace was by far superior to any unit I've purchased (and assembled) at Lowes or Home Depot. There were certainly an exponential number of pieces and hardware, and it took 3 hours for me to configure. However, once it is fully put together you will realize every cam lock, screw, and dowel pin makes this a tight, sturdy fireplace. The wood isn't a cheap, flat primed laminate- the grain is visible and the craftsmanship is evident.The fireplace insert is very well designed and is really a beautiful addition to the overall presentation. The flames are just rolling lights and aren't necessarily a perfect faux flame, however function over form is more critical as the heat output really is significant. The red, dimensional brick also makes the insert pop.The ONLY con (albeit petty) is the backboard panels for each side shelf does not feature a thru-hole for cord management if you wanted to use the shelves for gaming consoles or cable boxes. You could certainly use a hole saw to drill a 1.5-2" diameter hole for this purpose, but nothing that would make or break this purchase again.Overall, the price for this fireplace is exceptional for the quality and I would highly recommend.

When you order this it comes in two boxes- not necessarily on the same day. Don’t panic, our fireplace came a few days after the shelving unit. We didn’t have too much trouble building it. Thought it would be more complicated. Looks really nice. We mostly wanted it for show not heat, so we just run the “flames”. It makes some noise while it’s on. It isn’t super loud but it’s definitely noticeable. The back is hollow so it definitely has to go along the wall. I have mine in front of my windows. ( Small apt) I went outside and I could see into my fireplace thru my window. It’s slightly taller than my windows . I hung a thicker sheer. Overall I love it. Very affordable option and extra heat if you need it.

We replaced a fireplace we have had for 12 years. It was a very nice oak piece with mantle. It did not have the side shelves like this one. It was packed very well and was easy to remove and assemble. I had it put together in less than an hour. We were very pleased with the quality and durability of it.

I wanted a piece to anchor our 82 inch tv (huge I know…) that would add class to our living room while also adding not only ambiance but heat on cold days, so I bought this fireplace. It’s beautiful as well as functional.Pros: I put it together by myself with just a screwdriver (an electric drill would be handy for a few screws that are not pre-drilled).Pros: It’s beautiful, well built, easy to assemble and functional.Con: The “tile” surround is not real tile. It’s a flat piece of wood covered in a wallpaper type material mimicking real tile. That said, I did not like the surround, so I applied real stone peel and stick tile to it. (Not as easy as you’d think-I’d recommend using flat straight edged peel and stick tile or wallpaper)Con: The fireplace insert is not the most realistic I’ve owned or seen. The lights emit a red and yellow color flame and the logs turn a bit red but the color is too bold.All said, I would recommend this fireplace.

Took my husband & I 2hours to build, it definitely adds *oomph* to our apartment, the heater works great it gets our space nice & toasty. Such a vibe! Definitely worth the purchase! (COMES IN 2 BOXES, DELIVERED A DAY APART)

This piece of furniture is absolutely beautiful in my Family Room. It wasn’t difficult to put together and the price was great.

I love it! It looks soooo good! Yes there are a lot of pieces to put together, but it can be done with one person (2 people are better). Word of advice, use a drill. Any cheap drill will do. Heating element is quiet and the heat throw was pretty good.

I really like the look of the unit. Assembly took a while as every piece and part had to be put together. The size works for our space and the shelves are nice. I think the quality of the fireplace is just okay. It looks more like red and yellow lights moving around instead of flames. The heat function works and the timer is a nice feature. The price was a bit higher than other units and I wish I had kept looking before settling on this one.
