Buy it if you truly want it, and I truly did
So this Makita coffee maker is battery powered and takes in 18v, 14.4v, and (IDK how but also) the old 10.8v it says it on the box and so far I am loving it, it being cordless and it comes with a couple of accessories which are-the cup for drinking, it is made of stainless steel but weighs like it's aluminum.-a spoon for scooping your coffee (I also use it for stirring),-a measuring cup inside the coffee maker where you pour the water into up to 250ml (basically the recommended max capacity of the cup),-2 coffee filter containers one for filtering your grounded coffee beans and one for your coffee packets (the ones that come in filtered bags/packets) this also works for your teabags or simply leave it in the cup.Note:the cup seems to be hollow for heat mitigation I'm assumingand also through trying it out I used an 18v 2.0Ah battery, fully charged, and once finished pouring all the water(250ml) it brought down the battery from 4 bars to 1 bar also making the battery hot and used an infrared thermometer it read 50.4C but not a worry, with the charger, I charged it at the same time it was being cooled by the fan of the charger. It is not the best coffee maker out there but I have to say it is convenient for current Makita 18v owners whether homeowners or contractors/pros as long as you want to have a portable cordless coffee makeralso this isn't a factor but it I ordered this on the 22 Aug 2020 and it arrived today, 27 Aug 2020,it was estimated that it would arrive around Sept 8 - Sept 22 from Tokyo, Japan so it arrived way earlier which was good so kudos to the seller Premium-Japan and the carrier FedEx for the fast delivery.

Awesome addition but takes too much battery
Nice feature to husband's collection of makita tools, but mostly for the fun of it. It drains a full battery making one cup. So would have been easier to just bring a small coffee maker to the work area and plug it in instead of waiting for the battery to be chargedWould have been nice if it was k cups, but it isn't.For a fun gift it is not worth the price.

Not for use as a day to day coffee maker at all
I bought this as a gift for my partner. It's really cool that it's portable. And if you're using it just for camping or something where portability is necessary then i'd say it's a good decent product. But if you plan to use it in your kitchen don't buy it. It only gets 1-2 cups out of a battery charge. And the batteries stopped holding a charge after just a few months. Even though we bought Makita batteries.

I wanted to love it.
It has been almost a year. The thing still works. Toughness I don't consider to be high and I have been treating it well, but the handle is plastic and I feel if it fell down some hard steps it could come apart. I like that the components that contain the water and coffee grounds have handles. I don't like that it is really messy trying to clean out the grounds basket and the thing tends to be very drippy when you are trying to move the basket and cartridge to clean them. There is no drip stop. With a 5AH battery you'll get around 3 cups of coffee. You basically will have to keep swapping and charging batteries. It makes a cup of coffee in about 6 minutes so if you want coffee quickly you really outta use something else. The biggest annoyance for me is the design. There seems to be little thought into making this thing balanced. If you want to carry this thing with the battery in it it will heavily tip to the side. I've seen a similar design. It looks like they kept most of the features, but they put the battery receptacle on the rear of the unit. This makes more sense and I don't know why they didn't use that design with this unit. It's the Lidl Parkside. In conclusion I feel like a dope for buying this and the over $700 dollars of batteries and chargers for the damn thing, but at least it is a functional coffee maker. I'm just disappointed that it isn't better.
