I bought this kit with my own money, not as a reviewer sample, and I am more than satisfied. The virtually indestructible pieces are well-machined and do what you expect them to do well. The price is fantastic for tools of this caliber.You may have noticed that UPS has recently devolved from its former reliable glory into a legion of angry savages that seemingly throw your packages off a cliff before they deliver them to you in truly shocking tatters. This package arrived with so much shipper damage that the fairly sturdy product case was ruined. When I contacted the seller, they answered me immediately and went out of their way to make everything right. Great support like this is an important factor in shopping online. I got a good product at a good price from a good company. Doesn't happen every day.

I was really skeptical about the quality of the Vevor 23pc FWD wheel bearing press kit as their price point is their main focus however with many items like this are generally mass produced in one of a handful of facilities and then just rebranded and most of the time all that amounts to is the color of or just a diff sticker on the blow molded plastic case it comes in as they’re pretty much all the same design tool even down to the layout of the case how the parts sit.. The pieces all seemed ok quality with no burrs or sharp edges or deformations on the threads of the jack screw which is the most important part paired with the coupling nut which leads me to my one big complaint about this kit and that is that they only threaded part of the through the coupler opening and thread engagement is paramount with a press like this. Especially with ungraded or unknown hardware grade for that matter…. tbh I expected much worse in the 50-60$ price range I payed. If you have the tools to do it buying this 23pc Vevor fwd kit paired with the Lisle 40100 hub removal tool which works fantastic or if you wanna save on that there’s a clone by Orion motor tech 40100 The one thing I will say about the 40100 is that you do need to have at least fair condition wheel studs because that is what’s bearing all the load or if you’re really trying to go to Poormans route you can use a wheel stud hole after you knock a wheel stud out and use that as a jack screw against the knuckle I’ve seen that work before as well. One thing I will mention is do not forget your seat clip and always make sure your wheel speed sensor is facing the right way test it with a piece of iron the magnetic side goes in towards the car but with this kit and a hub remover you can save hundreds And have the tools to do it on more vehicles later down the road as this is quite a universal set when it comes to front wheel, drive vehicles, especially early 2000s cars that used press in wheelbearings

It paid for itself after the first use. It's a very good idea to keep the bolt threads greased, it really helps to keep things moving smoothly and may keep the bolt from trying to strip or break if things start getting tight. I also grease the two washers for the bolt. I would not use an impact when seating the new bearing as over-tightening can damage the bearing and/or the tool. There are better quality kits out there like OEM tools, Powerbuilt, or even Maddox at Harbor Freight, but this one was about half the price of those. This one works just fine if you take the time to get firmiliar with how it works, watch a video or two on YouTube if you're unsure. This kit is perfect for the "at home" mechanic or "weekend wrencher", I would not use it in a shop setting where it would see multiple uses every day. But, for changing out a wheel bearing now and then, it's perfect. I plan to use it for the front bearings on my atv as well next week. To sum up, it makes changing pressed in bearings possible without a hydraulic press.
