Powerpuff Girls: The Complete Series (DVD)

The Powerpuff girls we loved as three siblings. All 12 discs played really well. I got a DVD holder exclusively for the Powerpuff Girls complete series. For those who looking to buy this, I highly recommend you order a DVD holder like I did so you can replay this discs from the DVD holder without ever have to put them in those tiny pinhole disc holders that the complete series discs originally came in.

What can I say, I love The Powerpuff Girls and I'm happy I bought this DVD when it was cheap lol. It works well and it brings back childhood memories.

Looks like they have addressed the issue of the black line on the other box. As you can see, mine has no issues. Definitely happy to have this to add to all my other cartoons.

When I heard about this getting re-released, I was tempted to buy it. But when it first released in May, I was bothered by the photos from those who purchased on Amazon and YouTube videos that showed this one defect on the outer slip cover, so I held off for awhile. Later, I noticed that they were fixing the issue with the release of this set so I waited until the time was right. I noticed that there were new videos that don't show the defect on the outer cover, which meant it was the perfect time to purchase. When I got it in the mail today, I was happy to see that the copy I received was free of the black line (the defect I was referring to) on the outer cover. I'm glad I waited.

I docked a star because one episode is unreadable on one of the discs, I tried 3 different players.

Been wanting this for years but the original release was so expensive & rare since it went out of print. I was about to pay a lot of money to get the original series from eBay a few months ago but then they rereleased the show outta nowhere which I’m so happy about. Glad to add this in my collection. Never watched the show in full or when it was on tv but watched reruns of the episodes out of order on the channel boomerang when I was a kid.

This re-issue of The Powerpuff Girls complete series is much better than the 2009 issue. They're not on double sided discs. They're now on 12 single sided discs. It is not a burn/made on demand DVD-R like some reports were saying.The DVDs are the same masters as the 2009 release. They didn't even bother to change the menus. 2 discs per season. Each Disc 2 still says "Side B" on the menu screen. All of the original extras are intact.Very Solid Re-issue.

As another buyer mentioned (dated 11/18/24), I was extremely leery after purchasing this as a Christmas gift for my sons. The DVD packaging is horrendous and it is very difficult to get out the discs. Today, what I was fearing would happen actually happened; a disc finally cracked completely in half; Season 2 disc 2.This is the only DVD set I have ever owned in my life that I have had so much trouble getting the discs out. It's also the only DVD set that my children had to ask me to take out of the box to put on. Sure enough, tonight when I tried putting it on for then, it cracked as I tried to take the disc out. The manufacturer should be ashamed of putting such a fantastic series in such horrible packaging. I'm hoping to get my money back, as it looks like I have 5 more days to ask for a refund.A warning to all who purchase this: no matter how careful you are, the disc will break. My children opened this on Christmas Day, and only one month later, at least one disc is unplayable. Again, never in my life have I ever dealt with such horrible packaging that in and of itself led to a broken disc. Put these discs in new packaigng if you buy. I hope in future editions of this box set, the packaging from the supplier will be fixed.
