ITEM: 52 Stoic Reminders Quote Cards with Display Stand for Personal GrowthCOMMENTS: I am a practicing stoic, so never pass up things to add to my life like this.PROS:- The cards are well made and printed - no errors that I found so far and thick enough that I’m not worried about their durability.- I do like that there are 52 cards, making it easy to put on a weekly schedule. The quotes are also well selected.- The stand is smooth and well finished, with their logo imprinted on the front. (Normally I wouldn’t care for logos being included, but theirs is quite attractive so I find it to be a positive addition).- I like that the back of the card includes a micro-biography of the philosopher quoted.- The storage box is absolutely lovely. It resembles a classic hardcover book.- I appreciate the attention to environmental care, with minimal packaging, recycled paper, and environmentally-conscious wood selection. (The company itself has an amazing stance on this - I highly encourage you to look at their website for more information; I was pleasantly surprised by their positive environmental works they do, including carbon-neutral production!).NEUTRALS:- The stand only accommodates a few cards at a time. It would be nice to have a stand the would accommodate all the cards for easy switching, as you have to take the card out of the case any time you want to change it. This is only my opinion and doesn’t negatively reflect on the product.- I was a bit disappointed to realize that one side of the cards have a fairly noticeable green tinge. I probably missed this due to my screen settings, and it’s a minor point, but a point to me. I wish that it was white/beige/brown instead.- The philosopher micro-bio is the same on every card (would have been interesting to have a different fact about them).CONS:- I really dislike their choice to italicize certain words in the quotes. Visually it’s distracting and does nothing of value. Many times it doesn’t make sense to me why certain words were selected and I find myself more drawn to why the hell they were chosen over considering the quote itself. It’s almost become a game for me at this point.PACKAGING/GIFTABILITY: (All of my packages are sent with Prime Delivery Day and manufacter’s packaging preference selected. This may impact how things are shipped and cause my packaging experience to differ from yours.) It was sent in Amazon shipping packaging (a padded envelope in my case). It had a plastic sleeve over a green hard paper decorative holding box (the part that looks like a classic hardcover book (with with gold foil text and black portrait printed on it). Inside the cards and holder are in separate compartments and the cards are bound with a thin paper wrap. I find it to be directly giftable with gift wrap being completely optional (it’s beautiful without it, so it would be only to increase the surprise).WOULD I PURCHASE?: I’m not sure really. It deserves the high rating I gave it as it’s a beautiful quality product, I just really dislike the italicized words for some reason - enough that I’m not sure I would purchase it fully myself. I find that the asking price of $29.99 (at the time of writing) fair as the products are made with considerable attention to environmental impact and the quality received.CONCLUSION: This stoic quote reminder set is fantastically made and environmentally conscious (again, shoutout to the company on this!). While the presentation and design is gorgeous, I have some personal beef with certain visual aspects (such as words being, as far as I can tell, randomly italicized and a green tint to one side of the cards). I have studied Stoicism for years and I live my life by their examples and principles, so I love this set of quotes. The set comes with a stand for cards with quotes on one side and the author (and other details) on the back, all in a nice boxed presentation. I display it proudly and enjoy the meaningful quotes. Highly recommend!

The Stoic Reminders Quote Cards arrived packaged and as described. The cards I received look exactly like the photos advertised.These are beautifully created and presented in a lovely box. These would make a fantastic gift to a loved one or for yourself.This set includes 52 inspirational quotation cards from Stoic philosophers. If like me you didn’t know much about Stoicism it’s origins are from ancient Greece and Rome, I won’t mentioned much details as I encourage you to read other reviews that go into much more detail than I will. But, it’s a fascinating philosophy and these quotes really give thought provoking words in a clear and concise way. On the back of each card you can read more about each author.The cards come with a beech wood stand that you can display each card on whether that be on a bookshelf or in an office. I put mine in my dressing room so I see it everyday. I plan on rotating the cards weekly so this set will provide a year of weekly quotes.Fantastic set made of high quality materials, great value for money too.

I enjoy different and unique items. This is a set of cards that offer wonderful words of wisdom. They are quotes from different influential figures from the Greco-Roman era. The cards can be displayed in a nice Beechwood stand that comes with the set. The cards can be changed out every day, or whenever it suits you. There are 52 cards in all, printed on recycled paper (another added feature). This card set would make for a great gift for someone who has an appreciation of philosophy, and words of wisdom. Very well priced.
