Great little machine for the right customer
This is an awesome little machine. It is pretty beefy (heavy) not very agronomical, expensive and barely lasts two hours on the battery. That being said, I purchased this because it looks like a psp and has the keyboard which comes in handy. it can actually fit in a pocket if needed and I use it while lying on the couch so I'm not too concerned about the battery. If you want a machine to replace your nintendo switch, this is not it. If you want want something that looks like the latest psp and could replace your desktop then this is it. btw, this thing accepts 2280 m.2 drives and i put a 4TB in immediately. The keyboard is back lit and works great and the screen is nice too. I play games like Crysis 3 and Doom eternal with no problem and of course I have my psp emulator on it to play my old psp games. when i need a desktop I just dock it and go to work.

my perfect handheld
I've had my Win4 for a couple days now.. and i consider it my perfect handheld..I wanted a machine like the steamdeck, but one of the windows ones (so that i could install any software im used to running on my main comptuer or laptop). What made the biggest difference for me between this and others was the built in keyboard..So onto usablility. The optical trackpad on the right side seems like a strange idea but it works, you can even click down on it directly this makes it easy to use the mouse function when the handlehd is in gamming mode (small switch on the left side) where you cant use the shoulder buttons as right and left clicks (you can do that in Mouse mode - other setting of that switch) its a very well thought out function. The keyboard has been great durring set up as i can just type out names of folders i need to add, type into search or the web browser.. Im not sure id want to do extensive writing on it, but it serves in the moment for the myriad small tasks you end up wanting a keyboard for.. ESPECIALLY ALT TAB when you want to adjust settings or check on something else internally while gamming..the two USB C ports are infact I think sufficient. You can charge on one, and use the other for a larger screen or those cool screen glasses that are becomming popular (i have the X-Rreal airs myself)The back buttons (on the grips) are akwardly placed for my hands (i have very fingers and medium size hands otherwise) but they are bonus buttons, and the main ones you're used to from any controler are quite comfortable.the SD card slot is a nice way to add some extra stroage or to transfer files from another computer. I use it as a media drive loaded with music and movies, and just use my home network file shareing for any transfers..log in to the machine is simple with the fingerprint sensor on the left side..the fan can spin up a fair bit, but i havnt found it too be too much as long as there is any other sound to over power it, and the sound is much stronger then I expected, so that was a nice bonus..as for heat, i havnt felt it much in the grips or the exaust but i do feel it sometimes on the edge of the screen but over all id say thermal management is pretty good..All told do your own research, decide what features you want to make a handled serve your needs..For me I am very happy with my Win4

Beware of black screen
So within an hour of using this device you get a black screen that you have to change some drivers in windows in order for the screen not to turn black and at that price I expect to work right out of the box. Horrible setup and not to mention the mouse good luck trying to set up your WIFI because it will not log in the keys to put in the password and it will reset it. Again be warned it looks cool but the software is just horrible just get a steam deck it will work right out of the box

One Powerful Gaming console
I've had a Steam Deck and a Legion Go but to me the GPD Win 4 with the Ryzen 7 8840u is the best handheld console I've had so far.The form factor and portability of the Win 4 was the initial reason for my purchase but now it goes beyond just being able to take it with me.Battery life is between the Steam Deck and the Legion Go in my experience. My Legion Go would usually be drained from playing Project Zomboid within an hour, with the Win 4 I've been getting at least 3 hours or more on just the battery with Auto TDP settings. The screen quality is good but not great. It gets the job done when playing Fallout 76 or the original pc version of GTA San Andreas. PS2 emulation looks really good at 720p.All in all, I've been pretty impressed with this machine and I am looking forward to seeing what's next from GPD.(I was not compensated for my review)
