Politics for slightly older children!
Podcaster and former Downing Street Comms chief Alastair Campbell is passionate about enthusing people about politics. In this, which is effectively a young reader edition of his book ‘But What Can I Do’, he explains politics, with the help of a series of interviews with people from all sides of the political divide (including Rory Stewart) and why you should get involved to older primary and beyond children - it would also (as he said in their General Election coverage) be useful to some adults! It’s non-partisan, and meticulously fair to all sides. Recommended!

Nicely produced book
Great book if your kids are old enough to be aware of the General Election and start asking questions.

Top book
I wish this book was available when I was growing up. As an adult reading this book I found it very enjoyable and also interesting. I didn’t agree with everything I read in the book but this didn’t stop me enjoying the content. I bought the kindle version and liked the design and layout of the book. A must for any young adult wanting to learn easily about politics.

It's super Lefty, but important my kids reads both sides. Good conversations can come out of it.
We're are a right wing family and my daughter is 10 and very interested in politics. I gave her this and said "See if you notice if he writes with an opinion or side, and question where his beliefs might sit. Do you get a sense which wing he may be from? Or does he write from a neutral stand point like he should when introducing politics to young minds" After he slated the Monarchy early she didn't actually want to read it, but I said we have to always listen to both sides and THEN make our minds up. So she's powering through it now and is aghast every few pages and running into me to show me blurbs, as it's so very partisan.But... such is life.

Great read for kids who want to understand politics!
I was never taught about politics in school, it wasn't until my late 20s that I had a pretty decent grasp on it, and even then I still had questions. To be honest, even now there are some things that I don't understand. This book is the perfect introduction to politics and provides a basic overview of everything you need to know. I am more of a centrist myself and find this book to be both accessible and unbiased in an easy-to-read format with a range of views and beliefs. There doesn't appear to be a self-serving agenda with this book, it's not trying to ram a particular party down your throat but provides you with everything you need to know to make your own mind up.It's a refreshing book on UK politics and perfect for kids and adults alike really to learn something new.4/5 - Good Product!
