Very Impressive performance
I've had this laptop for 3 days and the package arrived in excellent condition apart from UPS delivery issues (Which seems like a common occurrence with stuff from Amazon).I can say it's a very impressive laptop, fps in most games will be 90+ with no problem in 2k resolution (if the game supports 2k) the refresh rate is lightning smooth and I have not experienced any bugs or stutter so far, apart from the screen flickering while using an internet browser, but another review has addressed that and seems to have fixed the issue for me.Although you will have to update most things when you do power it up the first time. Such as apps listed in the windows store and also any updates required from the windows update tab.Read and write speeds are impressive. The CPU will run hotter than the GPU about 10-20 degrees depending on the task. The laptop construction has a lid that is metalic on the outside with a white illuminated ROG logo. The rest of the laptop seems to be of a durable plastic which does not get too hot, the keyboard area does tend to be a fingerprint magnet, which is a slight annoyance. So far the keyboard lighting has had no issues. And I have not had any trouble using the trackpad. The laptop comes equipped with Dolby Access which includes Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision if you'd like to change the audio and video profiles to the task that you are doing. Dolby atmos has a very impressive virtual surround sound feature as well. The screen can be a little dim with default settings, but you can manually adjust some display settings through the AMD software and Armoury Crate to get the most out of the display. There are no dead pixels or major backlight bleed in the laptop that I have received. The AC Adapter can get pretty hot under heavy loads, but that's to be expected with such a powerhouse.Overall, I'd say for the amount of performance and features that you get under the discounted price, this laptop is more than worthy of a purchase.

Good Laptop with Initial Problems
Packaging was OK, as the other reviewer mentioned, ASUS packaging was 10/10 but Amazon's was 1/10, box had a lot of dents and such. The Laptop is great and can play anything you through at it however, the Optimus software used that switches between the 4080 GPU and the Internal GPU is faulty. Sometimes the Laptop will crash with a blue screen during gaming. Other times the Laptop boots up and immediately freezes with no remedy other than force power shutting it down. I've installed the latest drivers, reinstalled drivers, reinstalled windows, etc. I ultimately disabled the 4080 GPU/Internal GPU Optimus switching and that helped. ASUS Support is no help, they point you to support articles that don't really assist. Seems to be a big problem with these model laptops.edit: ended up refunding/returning the laptop. It kept shutting off in the middle of gaming at random times.

So far very good performance
I've only had the laptop for two days, but I've played several games at max graphic settings and the performance has been excellent. Games look amazing with the refresh rate at 240hz at 1440 resolution. The laptop is much more quiet than any of my previous ASUS or Lenovo gaming laptops. The display screen is fine, not great, but bright enough and games look great. The touchpad is annoying and takes some getting used to, but I use a wireless mouse so not really an issue for me. It's a heavy laptop, but it's meant for gaming or intensive video work, not for casually carrying around. We'll see how it holds up.

Decent, but Have some trouble and Customer service at ASUS is terrible.
I've had this Laptop for about 6 months now. It's my second ASUS this year. The first was not a good fit because I like a 17 inch. I purchased this one to fit my needs. It's 95% great.Keyboard keys and number pad are ok, but i've occasionally had a key "not quite press" the way I wanted to while gaming. The screen is great quality and shows colors/ lighting nicely. I've seen better, but you cant beat it for the price.I upgraded the RAM and Storage. It was pretty accessible and not a bad experience to get inside. There are 8-11 screws to secure everything, so not "EASY" like Alienware, but I'm not going in there often, so it's alright. The Hardware is good, everything seems to work alright together. I would LOVE to see some more USB ports on this computer. With only 2 USB 3.0 on the side and 2 USB-C hidden in the back, it's a little inconvenientI've had some issues with leaving the computer on, walking away, and 15- 30 min the computer is Sleeping. I try to wake it up, but the keyboard doesn't work OR the screen remains black. You CANNOT wake it up unless you hold the power button and hard reset the computer. This is Pretty constant until I messed with some settings and made sure the NVidia software was up to date. BUT it does still happen sometimes.Contacting customer support is a NIGHTMARE. Everytime you email them or reply, you get a different rep and have to explain your issue many times. They will come back with a reply and ask you to try things (reset bios, settings, send them system reports) but it goes in circles without resolve until they ask you to ship it to them. This process took 3 months.I decided I did not trust them and just deal with the issue. Since updating the graphics card and playing with systems settings, its better but not perfect. NOT happy with the customer service experience at all.
