Awesome clover for shade areas
Seed grows well in less than ideal conditions, I limed and fertalized at planting, once established I sprayed arrest max and slay. I was left with nothing but pure clover. This was a huge draw to get deer to frequent my small woods and helped me shoot a nice 10pt buck. The deer had the clover mowed almost all the way down by late fall. Early spring the planting looked amazing. I did one mowing late July and it is now thick and green. Looks to be more than double the amount of foliage than last year at this time. I can't wait to see what it brings in this fall.

Fast germination!!!
This is literally my first review on Amazon as I’ve never cared to leave one. I bought this a week ago and simply raked my path and a huge spot 20 yards from my stand. Broadcasted the seed and these pics are day 5. I wasn’t expecting to see this quite yet as it’s a really shaded wooded area. My goal is to stop them long enough to get a shot and I think if this goes the way I’m hoping it’s going to be great! I also seeded my entry path for quiet walking.

Durana Clover-Best Pasture Forage-Hands Down!!
I raise cattle and Durana Clover is the strongest clover that I have come across. It puts out incredible rhizomes, and they spread all over the surface of the ground. When the army worms came and stripped part of my pasture out, and ate every leaf off of the clover; the ground was dry, every bit of the clover came back out. It is an invasive clover, and I planted it in my pasture several years ago, and it just keeps getting stronger. Now, I have 80% clover in the pasture and in the winter time, it continues to grow, but at a much slower rate. The leaves are tiny against the ground in the pasture as it almost takes on a moss look. The clover has moved up into my yard, and grows in full Bermuda and Zoysia grass stands. I never had a clover that would spread in these grasses before. My cattle gain tremendous weight on this clover and people accuse me of feeding grain through the summer. Their weights are high going into the winter, and I make sure that I feed fertilized hay, and it keeps me from having to buy very much grain. With the Durana clover growing all summer long on past the first frosts, my cattle stay in great shape. I do feed grain when the temps turn very cold and wet. I always suggest that anyone who is planting pasture for clover, to use Durana clover. Always keep mineral out with Rumensin or Monensin as it reduces the gas production by 75%. It also allows them to absorb all that they eat. I also keep one bale of dry stemmy hay to help buffer the clover, as the stemmy hay will bust the gas bubbles. I have never lost a cow to bloat when I use this method when they graze the Durana Clover. Right now, my pasture appears to be all clover, and they graze a short time, then lay in the shade and chew their cud. They get plenty of nutrients and high quality protein which is higher than any feed that I can buy for cattle. What's not to love here? One other great thing about clover, for every 10% of clover that you have to an acre, it supplies that acre with 100 lbs of nitrogen as clover returns it to the ground. So if you have 50% clover to the acre, you are slowly supplying 500 lbs of nitrogen to the acre. But the clover can be very invasive and will crowd out some of the other grasses. I highly-highly recommend Durana clover to cattle people.

Out of date, do not buy, no return
This item is out of date by four months. It will not germinate, or the germinate rate will be extremely low. Pennington, the manufacturer, so far has not offered a return.Because they are a wholesale company, they told me I needed to contact Amazon. Amazon says to contact Pennington. This is going to be a runaround. Do not buy this Seed or from this company. If either of them stand the product behind I will return and edit this review. ……. The original company ended up making this right by refunding my money. Amazon does not check seed dates. I would not trust buying seed from Amazon

Great seed! Easy to plant!
This seed is doing very well for me! I’d recommend lightly dragging/raking the soil surface to give a small amount of loose dirt for the seed to nestle into with rain. I did not do this the first time and lost most of my seed in the ditches as rain easily washed the tiny seed off of logging road surface. The seed in the ditches began to sprout like crazy! I bought another bag and lightly broke the soul with a drag (piece of goat panel with ends bent down in back). Sewed the seed into thin layer of loose soil and had rain the next day. A week later, there were clover chutes everywhere and they remained on road surface. I planted this in south Arkansas in late February.

small
I picked these clovers because of research but with using lime and fertilizer they stayed very small throughout its growth. I've planted other clovers in the same plot and planting method and they did very well.
