I WIN.
I got this because work was having a raffle and I wanted to show how much I disliked being taken to the Civic Centre on a rainy day. I ended up winning something but didn't choose this DVD, instead I got a box of Quality Street which cost more. I won.

Don't waste your money
My son and I have been eagerly awaiting the release of this game as we are big fans of the TV show. It arrived today and we sat down this evening to play it. What a HUGE disappointment! We played the player v player game, and one of us would have had time to make a cuppa/put out the rubbish/go to the toilet, etc. whilst the other was oh-so-slowly scrolling through the numbered boxes to reach the desired one. Why couldn't they have shown all the boxes on one screen to make the selection so much quicker and easier? Towards the end we were selecting the first box offered just to get the game over with! We'd got tired of Noel's very small selection of "quips" by the end of one game, one would be miming along with him after a couple more games. Not that I expect to be playing any more games. I think that I'd have more fun watching the traffic lights change at the end of the road.

Good, but some annoying gameplay
I am a huge Deal or No Deal fan. My friend and I even made our own version with bits of paper! So I was thrilled to get the DVD game. It's good, although the tension inducing music and Noel's blurbs get a bit annoying after the first time. So do the reactions for the other players and the audience, I'd have expected a bit more variation. However, the concept is so good that the game is worth buying, I genuinely found it tense and really got into it, even with no money at stake. The selection of the boxes is also annoying, as you have to trawl through them all one by one to find the one you want to open. I wish there was some way to view them all on one screen and just press the one you want to open. I suspect this is a disadvantage of a DVD game over a PC game.I also found the disc jarred slightly when it moved from one clip to the next, probably as it worked out which scenario was most appropriate for your game.I gave the game four out of five, because in spite of some annoying gameplay and clips, the concpet alone is worth buying the game for, it carries over well from watching someone else play on tv to playing yourself at home.

Boxes
This game as the DVD game is okay but it's tedious having to keep on pressing the left and the right buttons so many times to sellect a box when it would have been better if they all show on the screen at once and we could select a box much faster. The way the game is made for DVD, selecting a box is like selecting a movie at Prime Video.

What a shame!
I'm a huge fan of the Deal or no Deal show so had high expectations of the DVD game version. The only world I can describe my feelings after playing the game a couple of times is, disappointed. You can't help but feeling that the makers of the DVD have missed a trick. The game play is slow, you have to navigate through pictures of all the boxes in numerical order in order to select one, which takes far too long, the standard comments from Noel leave you feeling that the person directing the game really hadn't watched a single episode of the show (no mention of the Power 5, the 1p Caravan club or any of the games catchphrases.....Noel doesn't even ask you the question `Deal or No Deal'), plus the Bankers offers sometimes don't make a lot of sense. The reason why this DVD got 2 stars is because you can play against a friend and take on the role of the banker which does make the game play a little more wnjoyable but overall.....what a shame!
