Beautiful beyond imagination
If ever there was a beautiful book then this is the one. It won the Pulitzer Prize in 1939. The mesmerising tale effortlessly weaves through a series of episodes in the life of a marginal farmer struggling to eke out a living against crushing odds imposed by the surrounding scrub forest. All the characters are memorable. The descriptions of nature bring the sights sounds and smells of that distant forest to your room. The story will stay with you for a long long time. It’s a NOT a children’s book for sure. A must read for all who love nature in all its elements. The special edition with rich paper and beautiful painted illustrations makes it doubly special.

Nice narration
First I thought it was slow story that might not make me to complete this book, gradually it took momentum and I really immersed into the story.Through the character Penny the writer reveals the the meaning of yearling(not literary).Nice way of presentation.
