Worth it
Very nice small knife. Good quality. Pricy for a small knife but feel like it's worth it. Handy open mechanism & sharp. Just don't forget to leave it in the car before going thru airport or large event. Lost the first one that way. Liked so much we're buying a replacement. Whoops.

Exceeds my already high expectations of a Buck Knife
There is quite a bit to be said about this knife, so i'll make a listLooks - This thing is a work of art, the way the polished metal sticks out behind the blue metal, the cut and finish of the blade, the overall design is stunning. You can't really appreciate it properly in the phono's but it's beautifulBlade - This thing is SHARP, and stays sharp, I've used it quite a bit and it's till as sharp as a brand new razor knife. It has a serrated area near the handle for cutting things like rope and the like, and a smooth blade further up for smooth and accurate cutsOpening and closing - It's super easy to use the bump on the back of the blade to open this in one smooth movement. It instantly and solidly locks. The lock mechanism is the typical style that Buck uses, and works VERY well, and works safely with one handed closingOperation - The blade movement is super smooth, it's almost like it's on ball bearings it's so smooth. The blade has tight clearances so there isn't the slightest amount of play in it, when opening, when open or when closed, yet it moves effortlessly and unbelievably smoothly.Feel - The ridges and holes are well placed, giving you a much more solid grip than you would expect from a knife, and yet are machined in a way to be super comfortable. The knife is surprisingly light, yet the weight feels good in your hand and is perfectly balanced.TLDR: This knife is a masterpiece of engineering and super refined, it's nicer than knives I've bought for many times the price, you won't be disappointed with this purchase!

Worst pocket knife I've ever owned
This is the worst pocket knife I've ever owned, it gets pocket lint inside and won't close all the way and won't lock with the blade out. Had to pry lock spring over to get blade to lock so as to not cut myself. I don't recommend this knife.

Excellent knife for the value
My husband had all of his knives stolen by a burglary at our home earlier this year. I decided to get him a nice daily knife he can harry with him at all times. The manufacturing of this knife is excellent and it's also aesthetically pleasing at the same time. I highly recommend.

Premium quality and priced flip-style knife.
I have a longstanding appreciation for Buck Knives, and have owned several over the years. So when the Buck Trace Pocket Knife was featured on Amazon Vine, I was enthused to see how it compared. The Buck Trace arrived in good order and looked impressive at first glance. It's bright orange anodized aluminum skeletal-style handle is both striking and lends to the knife's overall lightness. While the color might not be to everyone's taste (in fact, it's also available in bronze and blue), I like knives and other tools that are easy to spot if they fall or are left on the ground. The blade was razor sharp, just as you'd expect from Buck Knife, and both the smooth ground and serrated edged cut well and stayed keen. I have some reservations about the knife's flip style opener and its liner safety lock. The former works fairly well but the flip nubbin is smaller than I'm used to and the blade cam seems a bit stiff. So it took some getting used to before I could operate it smoothly. The liner safety lock was a bigger issue since the Buck Trace is designed as a pocket knife. Over the course of a day's work, dust and dirt in my pants pocket got into the mechanism and prevented the lock from fully engaging. Given the blade's exquisite sharpness, that could result in significant unintended injuries. However, it was easy enough to remove the dust/dirt and get the safety lock working again by tapping the knife on a hard surface. Those points aside, I'm pleased with the overall quality and construction of the Buck Trace and look forward to using it regularly.

Knife
I really like the color as it doesn't get lost as easily. Sharp knife from the start. Easy to sharpen. Lives up to brand name.
