Exactly as expected!
Great service! UPS took my RipStik on a wild ride 200 miles out of the way before actually delivering it, but it arrived in perfect condition.Very similar to other RipStik boards in the way it rides.Springs don't push the wheels back into their exact proper place after some use, but it's nothing to worry about, is correctable, and doesn't affect the ride.Beware: you may look somewhat silly when starting out. Dermis damage is also quite probable on the first try.Things to consider before buying a RipStik:Will it be useful as a mode of transportation?. My book bag is too heavy for riding a RipStik to class. You really can't carry much while riding on them. The more you carry, the. more it throws off your center of gravity, making it difficult to ride. Will you have a place to ride it?. On well-maintained sidewalks and roads, there is no problem, but the RipStik is far more difficult to. ride over bumps than a normal skateboard/longboard.Will it be used?. I've found snow, ice, and cold weather to deter me from using it. This continues into an entire season of disuse. If not using it for transportation, how can it be used?. If friends aren't willing to purchase a RipStik of their own, you may find it becomes boring taking turns making small trips back. and forth down an alley in attempt to share it. If it is unreasonable to use for transportation due to center of gravity issues and. your friends are unwilling to join you in RipStik adventures, you may find the (albeit cool) RipStik falls into complete disuse. The RipStik is very fun to use and surprisingly easy to handle. I've a friend who claims to have found it easier than a regular skateboard to balance on. All of my friends picked up the ability to use it within three days of one-hour use sessions. My advice: be sure the investment matches the amount of use you'll get out of it. ;)

Must better than the regular Ripstik
I've had the regular Ripstik for five years or so and it was getting old so I decided to buy the Air. The Ripstik Air is astoundingly better than the regular Ripstik. It is a different riding experience, but very easy to get used to. After riding the Air for a half of an hour, getting back on my regular Ripstik was very strange.Differences between the Air and the regular Ripstik:The Air goes with much less effort than the regular RipstikYou can twist the Air just as much as the regular Ripstik, but you have to keep your feet farther apartThe wheels are spring loaded so that they are always facing the right direction when they hit the ground, makes it easy to learn tricksThe Air feels much lighter and much more solidOverall, I would recommend this to anyone who wants to replace an aging regular Ripstik or buy a Ripstik for the first time (they aren't as hard as they look!)

Light but flimsy
I prefer this over a normal ripstik (although I skate now, I don't think I'll ripstik again)The casters broke really easily after hitting a curb a few times. It gets scratched very easily especially compared to a normal ripstik, and the grip tape isn't very good and rips off fairly easily. It's better than no grip tape at all I guess. It's also much stiffer than a normal ripstik, better for tricks. Although you won't be doing any tricks unless you learn on a skateboard first, I can almost bet on that! It's still a fun little thing to have around though.

9 year-old is very happy
A friend who lives overseas has a son who desperately wanted one of these but they're 2-3x Amazon's price there. My friend was visiting so I ordered one and as soon as he got back home I got e-mail saying that I'd made a 9 year-old the happiest boy in the world. He loves it, especially riding circles around his dad, litteraly.Great fun for kids and parents as long as you don't mind your kid reminding you just how old you are.

Drew's Christmas
My 12 year old son got this for Christmas, and LOVES it! The graphics are fun, and has as much, if not more, fun on this than his old skateboard. I would recommend getting pads and a helmet for any person riding this, he has taken a few spills that could have been serious. Not for small children-takes quite a bit of balance and coordination. A fun product for pre-teens through adults. According to my son, anyone who enjoys skateboarding will probably enjoy this.

My son loves it!
This is a great ripstick purchase. My son wore out his original ripstick, so I purchased this one for his birthday. It is quieter, faster, and lighter than the original, and he loves it!

The red one is like washed out red, and above that gets dirty...It looks sooo ugly.Get the Black one...

Excellent!
The RipStik is wonderful. It is very durable and has given my son hours of fun. Once he learned how to balance on it, he enjoys it much more than a traditional skateboard.
