Hydrangea arb. 'Annabelle' (Smooth Hydrangea) Shrub, white mophead flowers, #3 - Size Container

I ordered two and they arrived pretty quickly which is good when plants are being shipped. The plants themselves look pretty good. I'd give them an 8 out 10. The boxes they were shipped in were pretty beat up but did their job of protecting the plant inside. I didn't find a lot of breakage to the plant itself. It looked pretty good upon arrival, maybe just a little wilted, but the soil it was planted in was bone dry in the pot, so I watered them immediately and left them in a cool spot for a couple of days with a little more watering before we planted them in the ground. They were not root bound in the pot as you find quite often. I do not see any buds for blooms on either of the two plants I received so we'll see what happens over the next few weeks now that they are in the ground. I find their shape to be a little odd. Almost as if they were grown without room to spread out as they grew because they have the shape of the upright rectangular box and haven't relaxed any after several days. Now that they are planted in the ground, I'm hoping over time that they acquire a more natural and pleasing shape to them. Overall, I am happy enough with the two plants I received. I do feel that they were pricey but I was willing to pay that for the convenience of ordering on-line. I'm not a master gardener by any stretch of the imagination, but gardening has been lifelong hobby of mine, so I do typically have success with most plants. I may post an update later on after they've had a good amount of growing time in the garden so I can see how well they respond.AN UPDATE: I am happy to report that after about a week or so in the ground, they look great. They have taken on a more normal shape and both bushes have the beginnings of multiple flower buds on them. They both look happy and healthy. I've updated from 4 stars to 5 for that reason.

After ordering I was worried that I might receive a pretty rough looking, possibly half dead small plant, since it was getting shipped to me. I even contemplated canceling my order after I found Home Depot having a 50% off Tree and Shrub sale. For the same #2 size Home Depot and for roughly around half the price than Amazon's prices.However I decided to keep my order and bought different varieties of hydrangeas at Home Depot.My order was delayed a little and the box was a bit crushed when it arrived. I was so worried until I opened the box. Then I was pleasantly surprised. The little lime hydrangea was big and full of blooms and so beautiful. There was only one little branch broken on the bottom but the rest of the plant survived and looked healthy. I have a picture of one of the plants from Home Depot planted on the right next to the plant I received from Amazon. Both plants are Proven Winner varieties and are expected to grow to the same height. As you can see the one from Home Depot is much smaller in size and hardly any buds. The Little Lime hydrangeas was pretty root bound but I guess that is to be expected since it was mid July when I received that plant. I assume if you buy the plant earlier in the season, the plant would be smaller and may not have any blooms yet. I would absolutely buy Proven Winners plant from Amazon again.

We have now purchased these limelight hydrangeas from proven winners two years in a row on Amazon and have had excellent experiences. I purchased the first set of four pictured close to the White House later in the season last year. They were the same gallon size as the product I purchased this year. The product that I purchased later in the season last year were notably larger at that time of purchase. This was not a surprise. They have exploded this season and have tons of blooms. Because of the degree of sun exposure, we do water them most days in the hot summer months of North Carolina. We purchased another 13 this season to go along our fence line. We purchased these much earlier in the season and noticed that they were quite a bit smaller for the same gallon size purchase. All arrived in excellent condition. There were a few broken branches, as expected, which I quickly pruned. I also planted all flowers on the day of arrival and watered them deeply. I wasn’t sure if our new plants would flower this season, but as you can see in the fence photos, we already have quite a few blooms. My experience with this product has overall been excellent. I have not had to utilize customer service so I cannot comment on this. I would absolutely purchase again if needed.

Amazing plant. I was skeptical but thought I would try. Hydrangea shipped and arrived in 4 days. It was in the high 80's and sunny all 4 days so I wasn't expecting much. The plant arrived very well packed and in a really tall cardboard box, the pot was wrapped in plastic to hold in moisture, and only the very tips of the branches were starting to droop some. I unpacked it and watered it and it bounced right back and it is amazing. Two feet tall and very leafed out, has flower blooms already opened, and is better than anything I could have bought at Home Depot or Lowe's. 100% recommend this seller. Couldn't be happier. I am definitely buying more from them.

Arrived in great shape! The firelight hydrangea was blooming. The box ii came in was in very good shape. Would definitely order again.

Arrived packaged really well, healthy and are thriving. Will definitely be buying more this spring

I'm very happy with my purchase. This was huge when I got the box off. Had a lot of buds didn't think they would blossom since its late in the season but they have opened up and very pretty. Has a nice full shape and has grown a lot in the middle of summer. All of the soil was still in the pot, but I could tell it had been on its side at some point.Lost some leaves due to plant shock and it adjusting to its new home but expected. Would not recommend buying in the middle of summer especially not during extreme heat as you will need to water it daily but it will survive the 90s.

Ordered the bobo hydrangea on Tuesday and got it by Friday in excellent quality. It has so many blooms. The leaves look really healthy. I worried the plant would arrive wilted or damaged because of the recent heat wave but I was so impressed when I got it out of the box. I am planning on ordering more hydrangeas.
