Heavy duty Tack Lifter
It is a very sturdy item and the large handle makes it possible to rotate the lifter to help remove tacks once you get it underneath. The jaws are well shaped and it can be driven with a mallet under most tacks. They are also wide at the base which makes it easy to lift or twist without damaging the surrounding wood.However, the large size does make it difficult to use for small tacks close to a raised edge - you would need something with smaller jaws like a Draper for that.

Great time-saver
Beats scratching away with screwdrivers, pincers and the like - an excellent tool. I bought not the cheapest but the one which looked most comfortable to use - nice, comfy handle. So it has turned out. It can winkle its way under pretty well any nail- or tack-head and then extract up to about a centimeter of shaft. If there's more than that, you need a bit of twisting or supplementary pincers.

Great tool
Great for upholstery feels very sturdy. Slightly too big for some staples but I wouldn't be without it now.

Wrong Handle
Ordered this item to replace a wooden handled one i had that got left behind on a job a few years ago, saw this one and the price and thought would give it a go. The picture and the description shows a wooden handle , but the one i got was a rubber grip handle.I didnt contact Amazon or return as i needed it to finish a job on a chair.I have never had any problems with Amazon before so maybe just a general mistake.Overall the tack lifter is well made has a good grip on and feels nice in the hand with good weight, but that is the rubber grip not the wooden one.All my other tools are wooden handled thats why i wanted the wooden one , but happy with the rubber grip.I have given it 5 stars as it works well like i said, unfortunately i cant even find one on Amazon that matches the one i have so cant link you to it , if it was sent by mistake.

Better than pincer type tools
It's not quite sharp enough to get under embedded tacks but it's better than many I've used.
