This is my second robot cleaner, I have a large open plan living space with hard floors (marmoleum) ideally suited to robot cleaners. My old cleaner, purchased in 2017, used to be constantly jammed under my sofas and chairs and spent more time lost than active.This new machine the Mars 01, is a new level again. The laser mapping is amazing and after it’s initial mapping run has divided my space into zones and recognises large furniture so doesn’t get snarled up underneath. The set up is very straightforward and once the map has been drawn it is easy to set ‘no go’ areas such as around my bar stools which have sloping bases and which are very confusing to both robots.The mop facility is not really a mop but a damp pad which scoops up any dust from the floor, brilliant as I have two dogs - one moults all the time so the hair and dust is unrelenting. For more serious cleaning I would need a mop and bucket but rarely as this certainly keeps summer mess under control.The robot is much quieter than the older one so I can run it at night and have set a nightly programme so it is clean when I get up in the morning- total joy.The only wish I had ordered the self emptying model as I have to remember to empty the bin each morning, small problem vs the great plus of clean floors every morning though.P.s. I just checked the overnight clean and it cleaned 78sqm in 79 minutes.

We have considered getting a robot cleaner for a while, now the prices have come down a little bit we decided to give this one a try. We were drawn to how easy it seems to use through the app and the fact it has a mop function.The cleaner was easy to set up, took around five minutes to set up the charging base, install the brush on the front and install the app on the phone. The cleaner ‘drew’ a very accurate map of the ground floor plan very quickly, it was also easy to divide areas up on the map to clean each individually. You can also ‘save’ several maps, so can be used upstairs and downstairs for example so long as you tell the cleaner via the app which map to use. The cleaner works in a methodical way, up and down in straight lines. Also does a lap around chair legs to make sure everything is cleaned. It is easy to change the suction power settings in the app, as well as the mop settings. On normal power the cleaner is very quiet, even in full power you can still have a conversation in the same room at normal volume. The mop function will only use water, specifically states not use detergent. I assume this is to stop the mechanism getting clogged up over time.Overall we are very impressed with the cleaner and would definitely recommend to others.

I'm absolutely amazed at how well this vacuum cleans - the suction is great. It's worth noting that you can adjust the suction level used dependent upon what you need. I was very sceptical about the mop function, but again it works really well. I have a large tiled conservatory and kitchen/utility and it cleans them really well. I have two cats and a dog and it's amazing how much hair it picks up. The charge lasts for ages and when it's finished cleaning it automatically returns to the base to charge. I haven't found any dirt/debris that it doesn't mange to pick up (within reason!). It's easy to use and you can get on with other jobs while the vacuuming and mopping takes care of itself. I have set it up to vacuum and mop before we get up - job done! If you are unsure whether to buy or not, don't hesitate - you won't be disappointed. I just wish it could climb the stairs!!.

Pros: Quick. Effective. Built in mop. App is good. Alexa connectivity.Cons: Very small dust bin which needs emptying every 2-3 uses. Water tank needs topping up every 2 - 3 uses.

I only had this vacuum for a short time because it had a battery fault on arrival. This appears to be a constant issue with these vacuums. I’ve read so many reviews where the purchaser has to return the item because of a faulty battery.For the sort period of time I used it I found it a good device. Cleaned the floor without issue, and managed to get up onto my carpet from the hard floor without a problem. The app was good in use. Each time it got stuck I’d lift it off and let it go again. You then go in the app and put boundaries on the map where you can see the items had trouble getting under or over.My battery was lasting only 10 minutes before it was flat. I’d put it on charge and after 5 minutes it would announce it was charged. I’m never willing to take a repair because once you do, your rights of return etc.. change.If I could guarantee one with a good battery I’d probably buy it again.

I absolutely love my Mars01 Laresar robot vacuum cleaner!I had a different brand many years ago and it was very good at the time, but since discovering they can also now mop the floor and its fantastic mapping technology - it's a gamechanger.So far it hasn't saved me much time as I spend ages just watching it do its job and am fascinated by the carpet lines it leaves. The amount of dust, dirt and hair it picks up is embarrassing, the suction is very strong.The mopping function is great on my laminate floors and doesn't leave them too wet but you can see where it has been.It glides around the room, its sensors ensure it doesn't bang into furniture or walls.Battery life is about 3 hours and charging is very quick.Get yourself one, you will wonder how you ever did without it!

It was working pretty good for the first month, but now I can't get it to "see" walls correctly, meaning the vacuum keeps on going forever, overriding rooms it has already created in really weird ways.I have contacted support, but I don't even have an automated email to say they've received my issue.I am mostly hoping that this review will grab their attention so that this issue can be resolved
