Fast, Reliable and at a good price!
HP x900w USB 3.0 Flash Drive: Speedy, Sturdy, and Surprisingly StellarLet's face it, flash drives aren't exactly the pinnacle of exciting tech. But the HP x900w USB 3.0 drive managed to pleasantly surprise me, proving itself a reliable workhorse for everyday file slinging.Speed Demon: This little drive packs a punch when it comes to transfer rates. Zipping through folders full of photos and documents felt effortless, thanks to the USB 3.0 magic. Compared to my old, creaky USB 2.0 drive, the x900w is like a rocket ship blasting off to file storage nirvana.Built to Last: This isn't your flimsy, "one-drop-and-it's-toast" drive. The x900w feels reassuringly solid, with a sturdy plastic shell that seems ready to withstand the occasional accidental backpack tumble or rogue coffee spill. The cap also clicks on securely, no more lost caps hiding in the couch cushions!Value Vortex: Sure, there are fancier drives out there, but the x900w hits that sweet spot of affordability and performance. For the price, you're getting a fast, dependable drive that won't break the bank. It's like finding a twenty-dollar bill in your winter coat pocket – unexpected and oh-so-satisfying.Bonus Round: I dig the sleek, low-profile design. It slips easily into any pocket or laptop bag without snagging, and the blue accent adds a touch of understated cool. Plus, it's compatible with both Windows and Mac, making it a team player in any tech ecosystem.

Decent Drive with unimpressive write speed
The drive seems like decent quality. Read speeds are acceptable. Write speeds are all too similar to the competition. It copied 125 gig of movies in 4 hours. 125,000,000,000 gig / (4 hr * 60 min * 60 sec) = about 9 meg a second. I was hoping for better....

A good value
This USB drive has a decent transfer speed for the price. I haven't had any technical issues with the computer not recognizing it or missing files. I would imagine it wasn't manufactured by HP but rather a supplier they use, but it seems to be a good drive for the money.

I love these HP flash drives but....
I love these HP flash drives. I buy these and I always have one in my pocket and a spare one in the wrapper on the shelf. I've been using flash drives for 20+ years (my first was 16 mb and a gift from a techie friend). One caution to everyone and this applies to every brand of flash drive. There are two primary failure modes on all flash drives:The first is the drive switches to a read-only mode. This is when the chip inside wears out and means that you can't add any more to it (even tho it say say it still has free space) BUT can get your data back and write it to a new one.The second failure mode it hat it just dies. It is unreadable. You might get your data back but it involves expensive technical magic.ALWAYS - ALWAYS - have a second copy of your data on a separate device. I have a folder on my desktop labeled Flash Drives and inside that folder is a folder for each drive (and the desktop backs up to a external hard drive every night, and I rotate through three external hard drives). I can back up the flash drive to the folder and I can copy the folder to a new flash drive when it fails. Not "if" but "when".There are two kinds of people in the world: those that have lost data and those that will. The trick is to delay the loss as long as possible.

Great Product!
This flash drive was just what I needed! I changed computers and needed to get all my files added to this flash drive so that they could easily be transferred to my new computer. Has plenty of storage space! Perfect!!

Flash drive 3.0 review
If it's helpful, I backed up 107 GB of data using this particular flash drive, and it took just under two hours to complete using a newly purchased HP Notebook with Windows 11. The transfer speed averaged 960 MB/minute.
