Absolutely fascinating and a great learning experience beautifully orated. Thank you, Ayse Osmanoglu, for introducing me to this marvelous lesson in your esteemed family's history.

I was fortunate to live in Türkiye in the early 1980s. With my great interest in history, I traveled the country absorbing as much knowledge as possible. But, until I read Ayse's book, I never truly understood the culture of Istanbul during the Ottoman Empire. She included a short guide to the language and a very useful glossary, both of which can be most helpful. I enjoyed it and I hope you do as well. Note: It may be useful to read the 'Look Inside' sample.
