This Knife (especially for it's low price) is not just correctly designed and built, it's created by a craftsman who understands it's singular purpose. It's a dagger. I have a serious knife collection but wanted to replace two stolen units. This one is replacing both of them.A true military dagger is made to pierce the skin, slide between the ribs, and pierce the heart, etc.If the sides are sharp they can get stuck on the rib bones and defeat their purpose.The tip is sharp, the blade is made of very high quality metal, and the width is the best possible size for it's purpose, and thickness is enough to maintain maximum strength.I'm not suggesting people run around using this knife improperly, exactly the opposite.If you are in the military, and want to be properly prepared, you'd be foolish to go into battle without one.Take what they give you but bring one of these with you.You won't find a better knife for this, anywhere. I know, I looked.I understand knives, it's a personal thing, and I know quality.You can't buy this for less, period.I'm ex-military (if there actually is such a thing; once you are, you are), I know how to use them and this unit is strong, powerful in the right hands.

I ordered this primarily for home defense and couldn’t be more satisfied with this knife. Well crafted, sturdy, exactly as described, and well sharpened on all edges down to the hilt. Packaging and shipping were superb, even the package would make a substantial deterrent. Highly recommended and even a business card from Sheffield Cutlery Director Lee Idell, nice touch IMO.

I have wanted this knife for a long time and finally bought one. What a great knife. Feels great in hand, good metal, well made. Well worth the money. In fact, I'm so impressed I will purchase a second when available. Note for maker: can you make this knife with a longer blade?

Knife is just as promised. We'll balanced grip is smaller than I expected, but correct for the Knife. Well made. I will probably buy from this seller again

I absolutely love this dagger. It has a nice feel to it, and it looks amazing. I've wanted one of these for a long time and I was a little leery of them because of the low price. Figured it to be a cheezy POS, but boy was I wrong. If you collect knives, then this is a must have. Pull the trigger, you won't be disappointed.P.S. the edge isn't supposed to be sharp, it's for stabbing, not cutting.

... don't order unless you want to spend a few hours bringing out an edge. Mine was literally as dull as a butterknife upon arrival. (Point is fine, but cutting edges were terrible.) Took almost two hours, but it finally has an edge that will shave you. As it took so long, I imagine it will hold the edge for quite a while.

perfect for its intended purpose. one very small criticism; whatever was used to darken the end of the tang was rubbed off by the elastic keeper after only six times of getting it in and out.
