We have an off road SUV that is very well equipped for adventures and camping. Ordered these rubber shovel mounts to move our shovel onto out roof rack and out of the inside of our vehicle. Though the price is certainly affordable these mounts did work for us because the shovel is loose after being place in the bracket. (see pic) We also found the adjusting strap difficult to pull and put into place.

Doesn't fit 1 inch at all. It's so hard to get it clamped down on a 1-1/8 bar and even maxed out it still wobbles free. Needs to be for 1.25 and higher because it's not as advertised. Has no real functionality since it doesn't fit anything I needed it for. The strap is already starting to tear on one so I'd search elsewhere for shovel straps.

There is no better way to secure tools and accessories in an off-road vehicle or boat than this style of rubber mount. No rattling, easy adjustability, no rust... I've been using these types of mounts for decades ever since the original QuickFist mount which created the entire concept. Some of mine are over 20 years old and still working fine. These are a proven design in use by military, fire departments, and countless 4x4 and ATV enthusiasts.This particular version is flexible, but rigid enough to maintain shape under load. They install with a single screw or bolt (not included), but one can use rivnut style inserts and bolts- which is my favorite method.The quality is very good, and a good value as they include two mounts in the kit. As for a three-star review, these are the quality I expect for the price, but don't have a price advantage over others including the original name brand. The pull strap for closure works better if there is a large hole to provide grip, but these have some protrusions to aid your grip but still can be difficult to pull tight when wet or wearing gloves. A three star review means that this product meets basic expectations for the price, but doesn't offer a superior value or function over others. These will work well and are reasonably priced.

Bought 2 sets of these for shovels. So far doing well even in very cold temperatures the rubber is solid
