This is a great little internet radio packed with features.
The media could not be loaded. I was excited to review this small radio, which promised some very smart features. I've been a radio listener for a long time, well before radio went digital and long before the internet age. So, it was only natural for me to give this radio an honest try and see if it could live up to its claims. And wow, it actually exceeded all my expectations. Let's dive into some of the most notable features. To begin with, the Touro is a lightweight and well-built radio. It measures 7.87 inches by 3.8 inches by 5.1 inches, weighs 1.59 lbs., and features a 2-inch-wide color LCD screen. It can easily fit in and blend with almost any environment. It actually reminds me of the retro radios of the past.On the front, it has all the necessary buttons, along with a multi-functional rotary dial. The lettering above the buttons could be a bit larger or in brighter colors, but this is more of an aesthetic detail, which is subjective. The button controls are solid, with a satisfying click behind each press. On the back, it features a telescopic FM/DAB antenna, along with an on/off button, power cable port, line input port, and USB playback port. However, there are no headphone or Ethernet ports, and no physical remote. The unit is AC-powered only, and despite its small size, it is not battery-operated.It comes with very clear instructions and is easy to set up and operate. There is also a copy of the manual available on the Majority Audio website if you wish to download it. There are plenty of connection options, like 5.2 Bluetooth, WIFI, USB, and line connections, all of which work flawlessly with stable range and performance. No interruptions were detected. The display is easy to read from all angles, and it features different back-light settings (low, medium, and high) for various environments, with adjustable timeout duration in both powered-on and standby modes.**Oktiv App Control**Although the Touro doesn't come with a physical remote, the innovative OKTIV App serves as a fantastic alternative, allowing control of most functions, including Spotify and DAB/FM radio. The app works over WIFI, and the setup is a breeze—it automatically recognizes my Touro on the same network. The app is free and available for both Apple and Android devices on the Apple Store and Google Play Store. Just make sure your Touro and phone or tablet are on the same WIFI network. I highly recommend trying it out; you won’t be disappointed!**Sound Quality**The sound is mono with an integrated bass port, and for casual listening, it's quite good for such a small unit. I don’t use it as a replacement for a stereo system, but for everyday listening to radio stations, it’s great. This is a DAB/DAB+, FM radio, and internet radio, so you literally have a world of stations to choose from. It supports a wide range of stations, and there's a versatile alarm clock, sleep timer, and integration with Spotify (though no Pandora support). The streaming quality is excellent with no interruptions.**Internet Radio and Podcast Player**There are literally thousands of fantastic internet radio stations and podcasts from all over the world to choose from, covering many genres and interests. Most of them are free of charge. The Touro connects directly to Frontier Smart Technologies to access radio stations and podcasts. You can browse by name, description, genre, location, reliability, codec, sampling rate, playback buffer, and today's date. There are also 10 presets. The built-in podcast player adds value, offering endless educational and entertaining content.**DAB/DAB+ Radio (174-240 MHz)**DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) and DAB+ offer access to a greater number of digital stations. DAB is free to use, and the sound is digitally transmitted, offering better quality than FM radio. You can scan for stations, view station and track information, and take advantage of features like Dynamic Range Compression (DRC), which adjusts sound for better clarity in noisy environments. You can also organize radio stations by alphanumeric, ensemble, or valid lists.**Bluetooth 5.2 Connectivity**The Touro connects via Bluetooth to a tablet, phone, or other devices and pairs automatically in Bluetooth mode. However, it is not compatible with Bluetooth headphones.Spotify Connect integrates seamlessly, allowing easy control of playlists from your smartphone, tablet, or computer.**Dual Digital Alarm Clock**There are two versatile wake-up alarms with snooze functions and a sleep timer to turn off the system after a set period. You can set the alarms to start in different modes—buzzer, internet radio, DAB, or FM—and choose from 1-10 presets. Snooze periods are adjustable between 5, 10, 15, and 30 minutes. Sleep timer options range from 15 to 60 minutes.**USB Playback**The USB port supports playback from USB sticks formatted with FAT16 or FAT32, up to a maximum capacity of 128GB. It supports up to 5,000 files and a directory depth of 8 levels, with options for playlists, shuffle, and repeat.**Multi-Connection (AUX/Bluetooth)**The Line-In mode allows you to play MP3s and other external sources using a 3.5 mm audio cable (not included). This is very convenient for connecting external audio devices.**Conclusion**This radio is very reasonably priced for such a quality internet radio packed with features, all of which perform well. For any radio aficionado, it’s a welcome addition to their audio collection. It has good looks, compactness, and well-executed functions that cover all the bases. What more could you ask for in such a compact device? Not much—especially in this category and at this price.I absolutely recommend it!

World class, outstanding features and functionality
There are not many choices at this price point, but the Majority Touro is the clear winner. So far in a few minutes I’ve been able to connect to the streaming server, play Spotify content from my iPhone (non premium) using the Bluetooth interface, and connect to streaming stations and podcasts throughout the world. The built in FM has RDS and most other content displays album art. The best feature is remote connectivity via the Oktiv app. I especially like that the device is designed and built in the UK, which makes this is a true world class radio!

Cheap and doesn’t work
So many things wrong with this radio, including that it doesn’t work most of the time, the interface is virtually unusable and the sound is pitiful. Not sure why they bothered to make this thing, it must get returned 95 % of the time.

Great starter radio, if you're not on Quantum Fiber
I bought this radio in the hopes that this latest version of Frontier Silicon-based devices would finally work again on my Quantum Fiber Internet service; I previously had 3 Como Audio devices that worked fabulously on this same service, but Quantum did something on their network configuration back in late May, that caused those devices to not be able to connect anymore, and I sold them off, since that manufacturer has since folded, and they could not assist me; so I moved on, and tried other brands. When I saw this one, I thought it would be a good one for the kitchen, and once I connected it up, it suffered from the same broken network that the Como Audio devices saw back in May; I tried it while connected to my phone hotspot, and that worked perfectly, although that's not a workable solution, as I'm on a network that rations my data. and it's too good of a deal to switch to another carrier. So the bottom line is if you're on a decent ISP that doesn't do stupid things to their network configuration, you'll really like this radio - I wish I had a way to keep it, actually. The sound is really nice for such a compact unit, and the FM radio is a great bonus for when you are having network issues. Maybe someone from Majority can show them this review and make them fix things... they (Quantum) totally ignored me when I called them about this back in May. If you're on Quantum Fiber, you'll have to avoid any Frontier Silicon-based Internet radios; that is, unless you can get Quantum to unblock whatever ports or protocols are needed for this to work.

Below Casual Listening Quality
Really wanted to like this product, but the unit is cheply made and even worse, the sound quality is reprehensible. I understood that I wasn't getting HiFi, but this isn't even speakerphone quality.

Works well
Although it does everything we need. It’s just the’speed’ I wish were faster. Nice sound. As for me. In my 80’s. It’s a little difficult to read the knobs.

Decent sound and also has an FM radio built in
I like the size and sound. A nice feature is the additional broadcast FM radio function. One drawback I have found is the manual is NOT clear on how to store IP stations to the 40 preset memory presets. Most basic setup is easy to get to. PRESETS? Not so when I wanted to program a dozen stations I regularly listen to with another brand.

Review for Majority Touro Internet Radio
Review for Majority Touro Internet RadioGreat product to enhance my bedside alarm / sleep machine (Withings Aura). Internet radio works perfectly and the team from arable.fm was able to add my personal Internet Radio station quickly.Majority Touro is compact and does exactly what I need it to do, act as an alarm clock and play Internet Radio (and FM, Spotify and BT). Fits perfectly under the Withings Aura.To set the Alarm time - use the button at the bottom left to change the hour and minutes. The dial works as the enter key.Bonus points for the connectivity from both the Oktiv and UNDOR iOS apps.Price is good, shipping overnight to US from Amazon.Recommended.
