Works with door locks that rely on either TTlock or DDlock!
I have a Veise branded smartlock. I've been meaning to get a gateway for the device and jumped on the opportunity to order this item. The device automatically engages pairing mode once powered on so it's just a matter of logging into TTlock app, find the G2 gateway, and entering login information for your 2.4Ghz wifi network.Btw, TTlock and DDlock is developed for the same company. They're one and the same although the UI is slightly different. I've been using DDlock app thus far and was surprised to find that I could log onto TTlock using the same login info. I'm sure it'd work just as fine if it were reversed and that it'd extend to the reader as well.FYI, TTlock app doesn't support hidden networks. So the reader will need to head over to the WEB-UI of their router and make the network visible to pair the gateway device. They can then switch it back to hidden once the device is paired with no network loss. Another item to note, the gateway needs to be in the vicinity of your smart door lock within the range of its bluetooth radio, often within 10-15 feet. Otherwise, it would not work.I also got it to work with Amazon Alexa. I opened up the Alexa app on my phone, went to skills and searched for TTlock. Ignore the bad reviews and enable it. It should prompt you to enter your TTlock login info. Enter it, and your smart door lock should then be paired with Alexa. But wait, you're not quite done yet.Go to the Alexa app and check off the box that says "Enable Unlock". You need to set up a pass code with Alexa for the voice unlock functionality to work for security reasons. Moving forward, you can also check "Unlock by app" which allows remote unlock from within the Alexa app. Then, head over to TTlock app and make sure that "Remote Unlock" is enabled in the settings. You should then be able to open the door using voice or the Alexa app.To close, this G2 gateway is incredibly easy to use and configure which warrants a 5 star rating from me. I did notice that using the gateway has an impact on the battery drain of the smart door lock so keep an eye out to avoid a potential lockout. 5 out of 5 stars.
