This proves good things do come in small packages
I’ve used this before on a very bad bed sore on the base of my mum’s spine as this was what the nurses on the chemo ward recommended and it had cleared up completely after 3 weeks so when my dad had a graze on his head I thought I’d try it on that because of the antibacterial properties it has worked but my mistake was forgetting that once applied even though it was a tiny amount it soon warms up and started running down his head, so I’ve been using with a low adhesive dressing. Love this stuff and definitely don’t mind paying a bit extra as it works so well. I’ll keep buying it when I need to even though the district nurses said it was the wrong thing to use,

Absolutely great
I brought this as I don't use medical cream for cuts etc, as I put Honey on cuts grazes, from the jar, I thought to try this, and it's great. Easy application, it's grainy but once you rub into skin it's great, I added some onto my burn after I had it in aloe vera, and fabulous in

Honey
This is a tube of honey - manuka is known to be more expensive, so at a retail price of almost £6 for 20g there are probably cheaper alternatives.Requires covering when applied due to the stickiness. The cap kind of snaps off and then pushes back on. Honey is known to last years, so I was surprised to see that this had to be used within 90 days.Runny texture, so spreads well. Used on a small cut on my wrist then covered with a plaster. Can't say I noticed any difference in healing but certainly no negative issues.I did actually lick this and it didn't taste so good. Some people recommend using honey on sore skin on dogs because if they lick it off it's natural but I'm not sure I'll be using this again.

Great for healing
I’ve been using this Activon Manuka Honey for a few weeks now, and it’s been really helpful. The honey feels gentle yet effective on wounds, providing a nice layer of protection. I’ve used it on a small burn and it helped keep the area clean and promote healing. It’s easy to apply with the tube, and I appreciate how it maintains a moist environment, speeding up recovery. Plus, knowing it’s 100% medical-grade gives me peace of mind that it’s doing its job.

thick, smooth, and slightly grainy; easy to spread
This medical-grade Manuka honey, though packaged much like a standard cream or ointment, has distinct qualities compared to regular honey. Its texture is thick, smooth, and just a little grainy, with a creamy consistency that spreads easily over wounds or sores, though it is a bit denser than the honey you would spread over your toast. It has a potent aroma, with earthy, herbal notes and a mild medicinal undertone. Unlike sweeter-smelling varieties, this Manuka honey has a deeper, more robust scent, hinting at its strength. As for taste, it is also less sweet and more complex, with a strong, slightly bitter edge and a hint of caramel-like sweetness. When you apply it to a swollen or inflamed area, it doesn’t soak into the skin like a cream would. Instead, it stays on the surface, forming a protective layer and working its magic from there.Typically, you would leave it on for about 24–48 hours, depending on what you are treating, before gently wiping it away.It is simple to use—just cover it with a sterile dressing, and when it is time to change it, clean the area before putting on more. What makes medical grade Manuka honey so unique is its high concentration of methylglyoxal (MGO), a compound that offers antibacterial benefits that many traditional medications and antibiotics may not.Unlike antibiotics, which go after specific bacteria, it takes on a wide range of pathogens, including those stubborn, drug-resistant ones. It disrupts their defences and prevents them from multiplying, which makes it especially effective.Plus, its viscosity also creates a barrier over wounds, keeping out contaminants and maintaining the right moisture level for tissue regeneration. Additionally, it stimulates the immune system, promoting faster healing.Manuka honey also has a wonderful way of reducing swelling and inflammation, and unlike antibiotics, it is far less likely to lead to bacterial resistance thanks to its multi-layered approach. All in all, I couldn’t be more pleased with the quality and the results. It is such a gentle yet powerful way to treat burns, wounds, and skin conditions that antibiotics might not handle well—or might come with unwanted side effects. I am more than happy to recommend it.
