Thought they would be a little more thick and heavy duty. Took forever to arrive. You get what you pay for.

Filters out enough sunlight to make my lanai useful in the morning. Installation pretty easy

It took weeks and weeks and weeks for this to arrive. When it did it was in a FED EX box that had brown wrapping tape on the ends and along the entire length of the package. Opening the box wasn't that hard, but all I discovered inside was the shade wrapped in what looked like the original shipping wrapper with my address and THAT was also wrapped up like the mummy with the same brown wrapping tape. After about 10 minutes of scissoring through that I realized there was yet another wrapping of a plastic thread like material that shed into pieces every time I cut into it. All in all it took me probably 30 minutes to unpackage this shade, all the while my confidence diminishing and wondering who wrapped this thing up and was there a reason why the original package had my name on it but FED EX actually delivered it? The shade itself was a let down, cheap, cheap construction and far less quality I would have expected for $50. I hung it up, it doesn't even have the cord wrap metal thingie to wind up the extra cord. I'm stuck with it now.

Looked nice and great price, but had a very strong smell like burnt wood. It looks to me like they use a burning process for color variation in the wood.Would be fine for outdoor use, but I was using indoors and didn't want to breathe in whatever it was given off. Very strong smell.
