I love this, it's so convenient. The size is just right, the straight walls are so convenient, and the cotton and silicone lids work as intended and hold on well while still being easy to put on and off.It's holding up great, and all the extra included items are great too, especially the stir stick, because it has a slight bend like a long thin spoon which is convenient to use and much better than the stir stick spatula I had already that is straight flat.The handle is unobtrusive and works well, overall I seriously love this. I bought a different set for a 2nd sourdough version I'm starting and that package and glass container isn't anywhere near as nice and convenient as this is. This feels solid and sturdy without being clunky or heavy to use. I love that the measurement is written on the side of the glass too, that's so convenient.Incidentally, I'm using the Bakerita's gluten free sourdough starter recipe and gf bread recipes, and it worked fantastic on the first try! What a dream!!

I’ve been wanting a sourdough starter jar for such a long time and I could never find one that I felt was worth spending my money on. Then I cameacross the Ayerphalo sourdough starter jar, which is more like a kit it comes with a recipe book and a measuring cup,temperature stickers, labels to name your sourdough starter, and what kind of flower you’re using. It just has everything you need to make awesome sourdough starter. The product is exactly as described. It’s definitely worth the money. I would recommend this to everybody. This dough starter kit is a high quality and fun product to own. It came with a wonderful instruction book (including recipes)and everything you need to learn about the wonderful world of sourdough.The company, Ayerphalo, really wants you to succeed. Their service department is extremely supportive and truly wants to help you make beautiful sourdough bread. My first loaf turned out perfect!I couldn't be happier with my purchase.I looked at many different sourdough starter kits and this one is the best of all.. you get so much included in the kit forthe best price. Buy this kit, you won't be disappointed!

Love the jar, and accessories it’s comes with. However the recipe book it came with and instructions to start your sourdough starter were not good, unclear, and I would’ve also left a review on some of the recipes it has listed in the booklet, however I had to completely scrap my first sour dough and find further accurate information online. So I haven’t even been able to try any additional recipes. If you're looking for a jar and tools, then yes I would recommend this product but I’d recommend you do your own research on how to start your sourdough starter

I made this purchase after I spent two weeks trying to cultivate a starter in a mason jar, only for it to grow mold and have to throw the whole thing out. It was my first time and I did not know how important the type of jar you use really was and the experience of having to clean it was nearly impossible due to the ridges. Leftover starter would crust on the edges and harbor bad bacteria to grow. Watching everyone online make it look super easy made me feel very discouraged and I almost wanted to give up and just say this wasn’t for me. I’ll just go buy some bread.BUT one night I was late night scrolling and saw this starter kit. The price and the way the jar seemed so much better for cleaning was alone enough for me to purchase. And when it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it came with so much more! The band with the time tracking is sooo helpful, as before I was just tracking times on my notes app. The stickers were nice and it came with a few so if they wash off the glass or you do a new starter you have plenty. The little helpful guide book it comes with is so cute and amazing, I can’t believe I revived all this for under $20.Above all, the cloth top was a game changer! In a week after following the instructions, my starter was bubbling and active. I truly believe this is a great purchase to help beginners. It would also be a fun gift for someone. The container is wide enough to fit your whole hand it to clean and scrape the sides. I would transfer the starter out and do a deep clean after a few days just so I wouldn’t make my first mistake of letting bad bacteria grow. Soaking it in warm water for at least a hour before scraping really helps. It was also really easy to store in the fridge with the rubber lid after I wanted to bake. I did make my first loaf, but due to my own fault I didn’t let it rise for long enough, and it came out too gummy inside. I think with a bit more practice, I will definitely have a yummy sourdough loaf!

There are tons of these to choose from and I feel like I got really lucky picking this one! I needed some back up jars for when I am cleaning my other ones and went with two of these guys. All the extra little goodies it came with were such a delight, and the little cookbook it comes with is really amazing! It tells you everything you need to know about sourdough in the beginning and has a whole bunch of really good recipes. They sent a coupon with the order which I just used to get their adorable bacon grease canister which will go perfectly in my kitchen. Thank you for providing such a quality product at a reasonable price. Even the spurtle it comes with is a cut above the average!

Great container for SD starter! The silicone lid that doubles as a rubber foot to keep it from sliding while feeding is a big plus and the curved spatula is excellent. Love the addition of the weekly band marker to see growth and the wide mouth makes it twice as easy to use over mason jars
