Our thermostat went out, got this replacement. It was just like the original, phone connection, supper easy to replace, works just like new.

The media could not be loaded. FYI, the back of this thermostat is the wall bracket. Gently remove it (press in clip on bottom side) and screw to wall. As you can see in the video it is on and the air conditioner is running. All I had to do was take it out of the box and plug in the phone jack and turn it on! After being a few days in here without an air conditioner this was wonderful to have working again! I just need to figure out how to get it to stay on the wall now because in the listing it says no need to replace your previous bracket. Hmm.

Said it was a replacement for my thermostat but it has a network jack connection...not a wired connection.
