Great amp that solved many PC sound issues.
I used this amp with my PC where it is paired with KEF LS50 meta speakers and a KEF subwoofer. This amp sounds good and auto turns on when using the optical connection. I was using an HDMI connection with ARC but had several issues with my previous receiver but after replacing with this my audio just works now! I now enjoy my PC with having random HDMI issues.

Not Ready - too many issues
There is almost no real information about this product despite all the hype. When I had so many issues with the setup and finally called Denon the conversation went like this:"Hello, I'm having problems with the Denon Home Amp.""What's the model number?""It's just called the Home Amp.""But what is the model number?""It doesn't have a model number, it's your newest product.""Oh, let me put you on hold."That should tell you this is not yet a viable product - Denon Tech Support never even heard of it!He finally came back on reading from some manual (which wasn't included in the box) and tried to help. The first issue is that the setup won't go past a TV configuration - and I wasn't connecting a TV. The tech swore there must be a way to skip it but there was no way, The setup just waits until you connect an HDMI or Optical. There is no way to get around it.We ended up factory restting the unit Press the Bluetooth button and hold it down while disconnecting and reconnecting power and wait for the status light to turn amber.I then had to connect a TV to finish the setup - if you don't finish, the amp does not function at all.The amp appears to stay ON all the time - nothing about this in the 2 page guide. The amp only works with HEOS, there is no remote. HEOS is better but still a mess - don't even try to get it to connect to a server. It took me four days and a third party app to get it to connect to a QNAS.It almost seems like someone else made this product and Denon is just selling it because no one seems to know much about it.***UPDATE***I was able to find a manual online that explained some functions - but I am unable to post the link due to amazon restrictions. But other issues have arisen - Ihave another Denon AVR and every time I use the Home Amp, HEOS resets my other Denon as well even though I did not select it. The only way around this problem was to turn off Network Control on the AVR.

Major Bug, randomly shuts off.
How is it this bad?I wanted a simple 2.1ch with ARC input. The Home Amp fit that description. The sound quality is good setup is relatively straightforward but there’s a bug. The home amp randomly changes input or shuts off while watching HDMI ARC. You hear the relay cycle and no more sound. It’s quite frustrating. Hopefully there’s an update soon but this is annoying, it might get returned.

Does not work for surround speakers to complement Denon HEOS soundbar
The product arguably is meant to support two functions: primary driver for listening to music with two existing speaker OR drivering surround speakers for a surround sound configuration. These are both supposed to be supported via instructions and the HEOS app. Unfortunately, the surround sound is not processed correctly, introducing delay/echo and improperly sending sounds to incorrect speakers (like main speaker sounds to surrounds)I went through several stages of troubleshooting and was finally told this was a confirmed issue by Denon tech support. Unfortunately it was not updated in recent firmware release and there is no ETA.Hard to believe this product launched like this, incorrectly operating with the current Denon Soundbar 550.On the positive side, if you are NOT using it with a soundbar, it sounds just as good or better than Sonos and has many inputs. Also has preset buttons on the front

Ignore Most Bad Reviews
The quality of this amp is fantastic. I used this to power 4 in-ceiling speakers and it worked flawlessly. Some of the other reviews talk about lack of information or mention struggling with setup. This is a HEOS product, which has been around for many years. If they didn't know about HEOS, that's user error. If they couldn't find specs, that's due to lack of knowing where to find it (Denons website).Literally took 3 minutes to setup, the speaker terminals accept banana plugs (A+), it connects through HDMI, Optical, Bluetooth, RCA and airplay. Not to mention the sound quality is as good or better than Sonos... absolutely.Anyways, if you know how to use the HEOS app, there will be no problem using this amp.

Software is buggy
I’m using this only for airplay music streaming and for TV connected via ARC. The TV is problematic as I get random disconnects and have to tap on the preset buttons on this amp to wake it up and turn the audio back on. Have tried disabling standby mode but issue persists. Very annoying issue on an otherwise excellent piece of hardware.
