The case is solid with some flexibility when pressed down on. Its not as stiff as my Pelican 1510 but its also a lot larger. The dividers can be moved or taken out to accomodate more items or configurations. I was hoping to get all my portable lighting, stands, and some camera equipment in the bag for portable studio shoots so i can just take one bag. I may have to redo what i take to make room for the camera gear. Right now it holds 3 light stands, one of which is 33 inches long closed down, Flashpoint Xplorer 300 in the case, Alien Bee, s2 adapter for strobes, cords, duct tape, and a Stroboframe pro bracket which took some manuevering to get in. The big handles are great as you can use to hands on one handle if needed.The cons are the weight of course, but being a big case something has to be sacrificed. Also i got pinched opening the case due to the design of the double latch. Its a reliable latch with an audible click tha the case is locked. I will be more careful so as not to get pinched. I think 6 latches is a little overkill, 4 or 5 may have been enough but better more than less. Also while the handles are big, some rubber on the inside like Pelican cases would promote a more comfortable grip. This is a great case to store lighting gear, stands, etc. and can accomodate both lighting gear and camera equipment with the correct configuration. The price is very good also as some outlets are selling this case for $100 more.
