And it’s a very low cost investment, for the basic necessities in being able to do plumbing jobs.The cutter is actually very precise and I didn’t need to use any other tools for the edges. I was surprised by this.I love that it came with clamps because I only needed about 4 and I didn’t have to buy a pack.It works great and I don’t see a need to upgrade. Time will tell. But for a few jobs here and there I don’t see it breaking.For the cost, it pays for itself in only one minor job, but still I don’t like to support business that makes things for the landfills. Even after 10 years of use and for $2, I don’t want to support trash being produced.So i appreciate the low cost combined with what appears so far to be durable.

Not much to say here other than it works as should and seems to be of good quality. This is a much cheaper alternative to what is sold in most hardware stores, and it works just as well.

I used this to make two 1/2" joints so far, and it worked perfectly. It's a sturdy took and could do 1/2" joints all day without any problem. I have not tried it on 3/4" connections. For 1/2" connections, it is a good tool for the price and completely adequate. If you are a DIYer, nothing more is needed. As others have noted, it takes just a little muscle (not much) to get it started when the handles are spread out. Once the handles come in closer together, it's not difficult to squeeze them together. The entire crimping operation is ONE squeeze of the handle. One language nuance, it is NOT a "ratchet" as described. To me, if it were a ratchet, you could squeeze the handles all the way together, and the jaws would clamp down a little, then you could release the handles a little and squeeze again, and the jaws would tighten more. That's not how this works. The entire clamping operation happens with one squeeze of the handles from open to closed. If you stop in the middle, it will hold that position until you squeeze again to complete the crimp. I could see it being a little difficult on 3/4" connections, but on 1/2" (even without a ratchet feature), it's fine.

After shattering another piece of brittle PVC and having water spray everywhere during a recent bathroom remodel (that would’ve been a good NSFW video), I decided I needed To try PEX. This kit has been working perfectly for me. The crimper tool is high-quality with a nice smooth ratcheting system. I was a little suspicious that the tool would be complicated to use, but it really is quite simple. Overall, I’m very pleased with the quality and function of this tool. The flush cutter is working well, too.

I bought these when i was only starting to buy tools and did not want to spend too much, what i can say is they have served me well, perfect crimps every time and even better then my 60$ home depot crimpers, i would recommend this tool to any plumber who knows you do not have to spend a fortune to get the job done well

This product does exactly what you want it to do! Crimps and cuts bands all in one tool. Plus the kit comes with a pipe cutter. I have no complaints. I would not consider this a low quality product. Even if I were to do some plumbing work for a living, I would consider this tool. I don't know if I could recommend it for a full time plumber but is great for anyone with less work. I highly recommend this product!

So I of course wanted to kind of just try the tool when it first arrived and cinched on some spare tee fittings and such.The tool works great. I'd say it's a fair bit harder to cinch than to use copper rings however...a lot more arm force required.The problem comes if you do ever need to remove the cinch rings from the fitting for whatever reason.It is...not easy. Maybe I need to practice more.I also do wish it was easier to release the ratchet mechanism if you can't manage to close it all the way (happens when trying to cut the rings off), probably need a flathead or something to pry it.Anyway I pretty much only bought this for 3/8 pex lines. But quickly realized it would be great for air lines too, and probably garden hose repairs. Looking forward to using it for that.I'd just like to find a better removal tool...maybe one like how the pex copper ring removal tool works.

Added a utility sink in my basement. The tool worked great! Was able to snip clamps and install new ones with one tool! Clamps that came with it was a nice bonus!

If you work on pex all the time this tool is perfect does good at crimping the rings and makes things amazingly easy for cutting them off

my old globe valves to shutoff the garden hose connections were corroded and leaking at the stem, so i bought this to replace the valves myself instead of paying a plumber $500 to do it. i got some polyb to pex adaptors, an elbow and a couple of 1/2" pex end ball valves and installed them with this tool.the tool worked great on both the pex connections and the polyb. i ran the water for a bit and all the connections appeared to be tight and leak free. i'm confident enough with the connections that i'm planning to redo the whole house someday to replace the polyb with pex. the cutter is easy to use and makes a clean cut too.my only gripe is that as i was standing up on a step stool sometimes trying to do up these cinches in awkward positions, i wish the handles were a couple inches longer for more leverage to reduce the effort it took to make the crimp; or i guess maybe i can just work out...anyway, it's a great tool and great value for money. i recommend this tool for any home owner.

Good product easy to used

This product is perfect for a homeowner doing his own work around the house. Not sure if I would trust it as an every day tool for a plumber but for what I needed it for, it was perfect.
