Sturdy, rubberized sleeve which fits snugly over nominal 2" diameter PVC pipe.
This review is for Supply Giant 6I47 Flexible PVC Coupling With Stainless Steel Clamps, 2", Black. The flexible coupling was delivered promptly and as advertised by the seller. This is a sturdy, rubberized sleeve which fits snugly over nominal 2" internal-diameter PVC pipe; it has a stainless steel band on each end with a worm drive mechanism for screwing the coupling tightly to the pipes to be joined. I purchased this in order to repair a leak which had developed in a section of underground return line in a pool system. Despite the limited workspace I was able to implement a PVC cement solution and did not use this coupling; I am confident that this coupling would have effectively met my needs and will keep it in my plumbing kit ready for the next challenge.

Gives you a few millimeters of play for misalignments!
I had to fix plumbing under the kitchen sink that was totally messed up bc of misalignment. I only a few millimeters of play. These did the trick!

Good quality
High quality rubber. Used to connect my stock tank pool to my pool filter system that I also bought on here. Works well for what I needed it for.

Working great
Bought this to couple my shopvac hoses together, for more reach. I’m thinking of buying another to put on my miter saw to connect as a dust collector.

Size not as advertised
Item I have in hand advertised and labelled 1 1/2 inch, but actual id = almost 1 7/8 inch, and od = 2 3/8 inch. Supply Giant must have a giant ruler!Update 8/31/20: I subsequently bought a 11/2 inch coupler from Home Depot thinking it would be right coming from a trusted home repair specialized vendor, and it came and while from a different manufacturer it also was 1 7/8 inch id! I’m no plumber, maybe it can or is meant to be tightened down to 1 1/2 inch? I do not know, I did not try, since with the same 1 1/2 inch coupler Home Depot order, just in case at this point what with shipping costs etc. to factor in, I also bought a 1 1/4 inch coupler (actual id = 1.5 inches) and it does work for me, I am using it for a 1 1/2 inch under sink Snappy Trap install. So, I now reserve judgement since I may just be ignorant of coupler sizing specs, change to 3 star, and suggest you may need to try more than one size, which is usual for me and plumbing anyway!9/4/2020 update: I changed to five star since I now think the sizing must be intended for PVC pipes with id 1 1/2 inch, and since pvc pipes have thick walls you would need the coupler labelled for 1.5 inch pvc pipe to have id 1 7/8 inch. In that case the manufacturer cannot avoid confusion except by providing a lengthy analysis that will result in confusion anyway. My non-professional conclusion is that apparently these are pvc couplers that when labelled 1.5 inch have id 1 7/8 inch, and those labelled 1.25 inch have id 1.5 inch. They work for other than pvc pipe, but getting the right size is tricky.
