Great stuff
I buy organic apple juice in gallon glass jugs so that I can reuse the jugs to carry water (most plastic leaches which somewhat defeats the purpose of purified water). I used to use hydrogen peroxide to sanitize the jugs... trouble is H2O2 looks just like H2O once the bubbles have settled... more than once someone drank a glass of peroxide (food grade, thankfully). This is somewhat comical, but not really something you want to do more than once (you bubble internally for hours, lol). Besides that obvious drawback - food grade hydrogen peroxide is Very Expensive! I refuse to use bleach in this specific use... Finally - someone suggested this stuff :) It's awesome (there is a slight cleaning smell, but it's trace - less than bleach). One of the best things about it is that the color makes it impossible to mistake for water (unlike bleach or H2O2). Easy, inexpensive, nontoxic, etc.

In Heaven There is No Beer........
That's why we brew it here!Iodophor is a proven no-rinse sanitizer that makes brew day so much easier. I will not rehash all the wonderful information available on the internet concerning this product (heck, if you're reading this you probably already know about it anyway), but I will tell you that a sanitizer is necessary for brewing good beer. An infected batch of beer, though harmless, certainly is yucky tasting! Clean your brewing vessels and then sanitize them. A vessel that is not clean CANNOT be sanitized, so CLEAN them first! Remember: yeast are your friends, and if you give them a clean, sanitary fermenter in which to operate they will repay you with great-tasting beer!

I wouldn't brew without it
I trust the sanitation of Iodophor. I know it is killing nearly all the microbes that would stop at nothing to kill my brew. Guess what...this stuff works! I let my equipment soak for 30minutes to an hour. I think the recommended exposure time is 10 minutes. But really, i'm in no hurry and have all the confidence that iodophor is killing the bad guys.*important* be sure to let this no rinse sanitizer drip off to dry or nearly dry. I think it has a potential to kill your yeast if you leave it in the gear when you brew.. after all it is designed to kill micro organisms... keep it safe and get your gear dry to near dry. I let my stuff drip dry for an hour or so before use.Happy brewingBTW i would give it 5 stars, but i think i might reserve that for one of the other sanitizers that I can't find on Amazon. From what I have read/heard, the other sanitizers actually nourish the yeast... not a bad deal IMO.

Great Product- Better sanitizer than anything else.
I bought this to sanitize my growlers for our local craft beer brewery where you come back with the same jug. this is the solution they recommend for sanitizing. Nothing else works as good without leaving residue. I tried soapy water, plain hot water, cold water, rubbing alcohol, bleach, etc. none of them worked. Defiant Brewery recommended this product and it is great. This size bottle will last a lifetime as you dilute it extremely. My bottle was not sealed well and leaked a bit in the box but I have way more than I'll ever need so I didn't care.

Sanitizes
It's hard to review a product such as a sanitizer. The product presumably does exactly what it's supposed to...sanitize. I run my own personal meadery and use this product to sanitize my primary fermenters, carboys and everything that comes into contact with honey wine. I've never had a batch go bad due to bacteria/mold so I trust that all the bad things die. It's recomended that the Iodophor/water mixture have a contact time of 2 minutes, I usually extend that to about 5 just in case.

Use Star-San
If you want Iodophor, this is perfectly good Iodophor. But if you're a homebrewer (and you probably are if you're looking at this item), you don't want Iodophor. You want Star-San. I made the switch a couple years ago and brewing is so much easier now.
