I'm always on the lookout for quality matcha and was pleasantly surprised by this one. The color is gorgeous and the taste is just the right- not too bitter and a little earthy. I use the matcha to make lattes (iced and hot) with a little sweetener, ice, and milk. A little matcha powder really goes a long way and is incredible. I definitely recommend it!

Bitter roasted flavor. It’s a dark brown color and smells a bit smoky. Use it as my daily hojicha powder for lattes. I add a bit of maple syrup for sweetness and it’s great. Price point is perfect for every day use.

Where do I begin? The packaging is very attractive and higher end looking with the green and gold contrast, so much I keep it on my counter. The flavor is full but not too bold. I truly feel this offers a lot of quality.

I am an avid tea fan and enjoy trying new drinks, so I was excited to see how this was, as I had never had hojicha tea before. The quality of the powder is nice and fine, makes it easy enough to have in hot water or a mixed drink. The color isn't the prettiest and normally I wouldn't care, but in combination with the "smoky" flavor that is supposed to be present, it almost tasted "fishy" to me. It has a nice earthiness to it and depth to the flavor while still mild. Maybe its just not for me, but I have a hard time enjoying this tea. I will most likely stick to traditional green teas.

Really great matcha. You can definitely tell that this is high grade. It has a smooth and nutty flavor that is truly high quality. Will definitely buy again and again.

I've had a lot of good hojicha powders and this one is by far the worst one I've ever had. The color, smell and taste is awful. It's not a dark brown like how hojicha should be and it has this weird roasty smell. It tastes really smoky and almost burnt. I've tried multiple recipes and each time I just didn't enjoy it.
