We use this to get grapefruits from our trees.This product is very strong. The telescopic sections are very strong and the locking mechanism on the sections are strong and easy to use.The foam padding on the bottom section very nice feature.I can usually get two grapefruit in the basket.I highly recommend this.

I have a grand, old, large, tall grapefruit tree where, as you would have it, the largest fruit is up high. I have been perching perilously on ladders to get to the good fruit. No longer. This pole reaches them perfectly. The extension pole is easy to lengthen and tighten. The claw hooks at the end of the basket effectively pull the fruit off the branch, and the cushioned basket gently catches and holds up to three grapefruit at a time. I have not seen any reviews of any of these extension poles that specifically note picking grapefruit, so here is one. It works for grapefruit.

A little difficult to detach the fruit from the tree (Lemons)

This is the cat's meow! The pole is sturdy, and, unlike what someone else posted, the sections do NOT come all the way out. There is a stop at the bottom of each section and it is not possible for them to slide out of the sections beneath them. It extends a full 12 feet plus the basket. The basket is a bit flimsy but gets the job done.In the photos it looks like the pole screws into the basket. While it has a screw thread for other attachments, it is not the case here. The basket clamps on and then there is a separate bolt with wingnut which goes through a hole in the pole to keep the basket from pulling loose. It's a bot inelegant but it works .Caveat: this applies to the pole I got. Your pole may be different.....

This was cheaper than alternatives on Amazon but it works really well. It doesn't bend or feel cheap.

This pole is the best! I normally buy fiskars products! I no longer need to climb on a ladder! Love how it can fit in my garage!
