My cat is 4 days post op. Because of this she is on restricted movement and kenneled. Inside her kennel I put one of these puppy pads under her litter tray in case she goes over the edge, I don't want her blankets etc to get urine on them.Well, cats being cats, she claws at everything to bury her wee. Two days in a row now she has scratched so much shes tipped over her bowl of water and let me tell you, the base is completely dry. The pad has absorbed everything. Now usually I find puppy pads have some seep through even if its just condensation, but these have actually absorbed an entire bowl of water, not left any wet patch on the plastic base and when I pick it up it doesn't drip. The water is retained. The pad surface does feel wet to touch, but nothing goes through it and that is the main thing.*WARNING* do not stand on it while wet. The gel formed inside is incredibly slippy. Be careful with your pups to ensure a wet one is picked up promptly. For the purpose of this picture I stood on one that had absorbed two cups of water to show that nothing goes through even with pressure, but I did almost slip over. Very happy with my purchase and will be buying more because theyre not reusable and kitty has another 10days bed rest, I just know shes going to flip that water again ahaha.
