I ordered this heat sensor fire alarm from the Sensereo brand. I've been meaning to get one of these for ages as the fire brigade recommend heat sensors, alongside standard fire alarms, for many houses, especially for areas like lofts or basements or boiler rooms. The heat is a good indicator of a smouldering fire or an issue caused by overheating.This appears to be a good model, with a sealed-for-life 10 year battery and CE EN14604 certification. On testing it, the sound is super loud as is appropriate in such cases! All of the fixtures and fittings to attach are included, including self adhesive pads which can fix it to a ceiling in seconds.This alarm connects to others if you build yourself a mini home network. Some people will love this functionality, for me i'd prefer a wired option, but I guess this makes installation cheaper and easier.The luddite in me says "what if there is no wifi!" but the other side of me points out there could be a powercut which would stop wired options communicating in a similar fashion.Doomsdaying aside, this is a good unit which you'd expect to do its job in all scenarios but a grid-down collapse. Which is, uh, unlikely. .Four stars.

This Sensero Smoke Alarm is small, neat and not obtrusive. Purchased this sealed 10 year smoke alarm so that I am not caught out with an alarm going of because the battery is low. Just wrote the date of installation on the back so that I don’t have to worry. This is the second one that I have purchased because I was advised to put one in the living area and one in the hallway of the sleeping area - seemed logical, so I did it.

This item is poor quality and the one I received didn't work. I switched it on and the self test worked but when I tested it with smoke it failed to sound an alarm. My Fireangel alarm sounded an alarm within a few seconds. I knew I was taking a risk when buying it because it was cheap, probably too cheap. I recommend buying an established brand, don't compromise with your safety. Where safety is concerned you have to have 100% confidence in the product.

It's not often that a product impresses to a degree that makes me want to tell other people about it, but this is one. There was a bewildering choice of smoke alarms to choose from and I plumped for this one.First delight out of the box is that the three are interlinked at the factory. No button pushing or coding to do - it's already done for you.The baseplate just requires two screws into the ceiling and the unit just clips on. Someone had clearly thought about this because there is a tiny switch in the underneath of the unit but as you fit it to the baseplate, it automatically switches on and beeps to tell you it is live.It took about 1 minute to install and that was mostly getting a drill out to make a hole in the ceiling big enough for a wall plug to take the screw. And if you have flat ceilings (I don't), you don't need to screw it - double-sided sticky pads are included.I tested one of the alarms and it immediately connected to the others. Job done!BTW, the alarms are very loud and penetrating - you would struggle to sleep through them!With a sealed-for-life battery, I can forget them for ten years apart from regular testing.Excellent product.

Really appreciated this coming with everything you need like screws and rawplugs, but -especially- aso a big round sticker to stick it to the ceiling (with i used to use less screws). I really like the functionality of the 3 alarms being connected, when one beeps this sends the signal to the other two and they all beep. Deffinitely an improvement over single alarms that may beep in a side of the house far away from where you are, this feature makes mee feel safer. Note the bateries ae not removable and it requires to replace the alarm when depleted.
